when you first get it back, you’ll probably notice the dress, the flowers, the venue and all the little details you spent months planning.

years later, i think you’ll watch it differently.

you’ll notice your dad’s voice during his speech.
your grandma on the dance floor.
your friends laughing together.
the way your parents looked at you.
the people who may never all be in the same room again.

i came for the cake smash and somehow left with 17 questions 😭

but since we’re here… maybe just skip smashing the cake in each other’s faces altogether.

your wedding cake probably took hours to make, you just paid for professional hair + makeup, you’re wearing clothes you’d probably prefer not to cover in frosting, and your guests would also like a slice 😂

if you BOTH agreed beforehand that you’re going for it, have fun.

but if one person says “please don’t put cake in my face”… maybe listen to them.

seems like a pretty solid way to start a marriage 😂
