🧣🗽 The Wild Astrology Behind Taylor Swift’s London Era vs. Her NYC Comeback
For six years, the biggest pop star on the planet basically vanished into North London. She rented a private house, stayed out of the public eye, and later wrote “So Long, London” about feeling like she was slowly dying in a cage.
The second she packed up and moved back to New York?
She launched the Eras Tour, broke every stadium record in history, and crossed the billionaire threshold.
If you pull up her Scorpio Rising birth chart and compare her relocated charts in London versus New York City, the astrology behind this shift is actually insane.

But right alongside her Moon and Jupiter in Cancer sits Chiron, the asteroid of deep wounds. Moving to London parked Chiron directly inside her 7th House of partnership, turning a relationship she thought would be her safe haven into a slow, quiet heartbreak where she constantly tried to “fix” and save a dying dynamic.
🔒 WHEN HER VOICE DISAPPEARED INTO THE 12TH HOUSE
Here is the craziest part of her London chart.
Because her relocated Ascendant moved into late Capricorn, her entire Capricorn stellium, Mercury, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune, got pushed backward into her relocated 12th House.
In astrology, the 12th House rules exile, hiding, isolation, and feeling locked away from the world.
Having Mercury, her literal voice, and Saturn, heavy restriction and walls, trapped in the 12th House in London meant she was energetically muted.
She wrote incredible, melancholic quarantine albums from inside that 12th House bubble, folklore and evermore, but personally, the city was swallowing her spark whole.
✈️🗽 LEAVING LONDON CHANGED THE ENTIRE CHART
New York City sits in the exact same longitudinal corridor as her birthplace in Pennsylvania. The moment she left London and anchored back in NYC, her chart snapped straight back to its natural factory settings.
🔥 NEW YORK PUT HER POWER BACK ON THE ASCENDANT
In New York, she stops being a quiet 12th House hermit and goes right back to being a Scorpio Rising with Pluto and Mars sitting on her Ascendant.
Mars and Pluto in the 1st House is pure, untouchable main-character dominance.
You don’t hide in the shadows on this line. You command 80,000-person stadiums.
💰👑 AND THEN THE MONEY HOUSES LIT UP
Moving back to the NYC corridor also pulled her Capricorn stellium completely OUT of the 12th House of exile and locked it right back into her 2nd House of wealth and personal assets, right alongside her Sagittarius Sun.
Even better, her Cancer Moon and Jupiter moved out of the 7th House of relationship sacrifice and back into her 8th House of massive royalties, intellectual property, and legacy wealth.
She reclaimed her masters, turned her tour into an economic empire, and became a billionaire.
Never stay in a city that locks your voice in the 12th House just to keep a relationship alive.
And THIS is exactly why I don’t like looking at a city and only going, “Oh, you have a Venus line there, so it must be amazing.” 😅
There’s way more happening than that.
Astrocartography usually starts with the world map and your planetary lines. You’re looking at where your Sun, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, etc. become angular around the world.
Relocation astrology is more like:
“Okay, what does my WHOLE chart look like if I actually live in this exact city?”
With relocation astrology, you take your exact birth chart and recalculate it for another city.
Same birth date. Same exact birth moment. Different location.
Your planets stay in the same zodiac signs, but your houses and angles can change. Your Rising Sign, MC, IC, Descendant, and where your planets fall by house can all look different.
For example, you could be a Libra Rising in your birth city, but when your chart is relocated to Tokyo, maybe you become a Scorpio Rising there.
Or your natal Venus could be in the 4th House, but in another city it moves into the 5th.
That doesn’t mean your natal chart “changed.” It just shows how your chart is being expressed in that location.
I’d also wanna know: What’s your relocated Rising? What’s happening to your MC? Where did Venus move? What’s happening in your 4th, 7th, 10th, 11th Houses, etc.?
The whole chart gives way more context.
And this is why two people can move to the SAME city and have completely different experiences.
For one person, that city might bring more career visibility. For another, it might put way more focus on relationships.
Someone else might feel super settled there, and another person might feel like the place just doesn’t fit them at all.
Same city. Totally different relocated charts.
