Over the last two decades Cory Branan has released five albums to much critical acclaim from NPR, Pitchfork and Rolling Stone among others, who called him, “A country boy with a punk-rock heart.” He has toured extensively, appearing on stages from Letterman and the Ryman to your town’s sh*ttiest punk bar.
“...a career stacked with lonesome country anthems to life on the road, delivered in a voice that's pleasantly weathered.” - NPR
Branan’s songs have been covered by such artists as Tyler Childers, Frank Turner, and Dashboard Confessional. He has also collaborated with the likes of Jason Isbell, Laura Jane Grace (Against Me!), and Craig Finn (The Hold Steady) who have been included as featured guests on previous records. Branan has even been mentioned in the Lucero song, “Tears Don’t Matter Much” with the lyrics, “Cory Branan’s got an evil streak, and a way with words that’ll bring you to your knees.”
“It’s rad”, says Branan, “to have a new home with nice folks at Blue Èlan who’ve threatened to turn me loose to make my kind of weird American music, and I’m really looking forward to getting into the studio this fall and giving it hell.”

He’s an artist molded by red dirt, grunge, nostalgia, melody, and the raw spirit of vintage rock.

His 2021 breakout album, Black Sheep, served as a rallying cry and a mission statement for him.
2022’s Abstract Art of an Unstable Mind incorporated fuzzy guitars, emotional depth, and self-aware cynicism. 2024’s Pretty Little Waist EP broke through rock radio with the Top 25 single “BLACKOUT.”
But it’s his latest album, ALMOST FAMOUS, that completes the picture—an anthemic, personal collection that shows who he is now: a young music veteran with plenty to say and nothing to prove.
Meade’s work ethic is part of what makes him stand out in a scene crowded with artists chasing trends. As SPIN noted after watching Meade perform at Louder Than Life, he brings an “in-the-moment freedom” to his shows. “You don’t know the people five feet from you,” he said, “but a lot of times you’re singing the same damn song.” That shared electricity is what fuels him, from clubs to festivals.
For all the labels people have used to try to categorize him—country, rock, Red Dirt, alternative—Meade remains mostly uninterested in labels.
“Some days we’re the country band at a rock fest, some days we’re the rock band at a country fest,” he says, with a good-natured laugh. “But we always sound like us.”
There’s no affectation. No costume. Just a hard-working songwriter with a beat-up guitar, a sharp tongue, and a big heart. Almost famous? Probably not for much longer.

Matthew Goodnough is a country rock artist from Greenville, South Carolina, building a catalog with serious grit. His 2025 EP, Life of the Party and the Death of Me, paints a clear picture: there’s a fine line between having a good time and having too much fun.

The EP features “Good for Nothing,” “No More,” and “Paint Over Rust,” adding to a catalog that includes “Dirty Myrtle,” “Gone for Good,” and “Bad Terms,” his collaboration with Mac Hankins and The Moonlighters. It’s a fitting introduction to an artist comfortable with a little edge and a willingness to be vulnerable. 

Goodnough’s music has taken him from hometown club shows at rooms like Greenville’s Radio Room to opportunities like opening for Giovannie and The Hired Guns in the Fall of 2026 at the largest h***y tonk in the world - Billy Bob’s Texas in the historic Fort Worth Stockyards. He’s putting in the work, building his catalog, and bringing his music to bigger stages and new crowds.

Johnny Mullenax, a Tulsa native, grew up in a musical family. He started playing the guitar atage 5. In his teens, he followed his family to the Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, Kansas. In typical Johnny fashion, he showed up with just a guitar and ended up sleeping in a stand up bass case. At 18, he used a friend’s ID to get into a club where he was part of a live hip hop band backing rappers. According to Johnny, “Life is too short to play one style of music, and if you have an opportunity to try something different then you should give it a shot.”

Claiming wide-ranging influences from AC/DC and The Ramones to John Coltrane and Parliament, Johnny calls his genre-bending sound a funky country bluegrass good time!

Before COVID, Johnny went out on the road with fellow Okie TJ McFarland (Tennessee Jet)and started connecting to a network of other touring musicians. He always wanted to starthis own project, and after playing as a sideman for seven years with several bands, he finallytook that leap.
