The event planner in me is COMPLETELY TAKEN with these peonies! It's their season and they did not come to play! I keep walking through the room and I can't walk past them without taking another pic. Absolutely GORGEOUS! I purchased these at Costco four days ago and they were not open at all, but just look at them now! So if you are in your local Costco, don't pass them by. They are DEMANDING your undivided attention! 😉😍❤️❤️❤️ $9.99!

When it comes to big events that allow me to come up with big ideas, the hard part is ALWAYS in the details. Details are what will make or break the entire creation. I absolutely love blue so you know I LOST IT on this one...but in a good way! Hope you guys love it as much as I did! I can honestly say I was just as surprised as the guest of honor when I saw the final product. 😍♥️🪩 Edit: A special thanks to the wonderful vendors we were able to use for this event. Each of you showed up and showed all the way OUT!! Powe’s Party Planning did an AMAZING job on the balloons! On time, ready to work and exactly as promised! Her balloon garland was an entire mood! Check it out in the pics! You can't miss it! Joanie Winsett did an UNBELIEVABLE job on this cake! That's a whole story that I get to tell on another day, but let's just make sure we say, she definitely understood the assignment! Joanie was a beast on this cake and did an amazing job tying in all aspects of this theme. Her creativity overflowed and the results were absolutely gorgeous! Mika Wiggins handled the catering with his wonderful brother Carl and his wife Tracey assisting and everything was delicious and full of flavor! The dj was phenomenal and came in all the way from Texas to blow us away! I would definitely recommend him for any event because even when you wanted to sit down, you couldn't with him on the ones and twos! When deciding whether or not an event planner is worth the investment, ask yourself which one of your friends is going to volunteer for THIS PART of the planning/setup! Event planning is so much more than just showing up at an event and making it happen on the day of. The event creation starts weeks, months, sometimes years in advance. What you see on the day of the event is the product of unlimited hours of time invested. It's not done on a whim. So ask yourself, is THAT worth it?

Well...that's my spill for the day. Now let me start organizing this chaos and see if we can make something amazing happen to give another client One EXTREMELY Sweet Day! 😉

PSA: OUTSIDE IS CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE! 🤦🏽🤣🫠

Anyone who has ever been my client will tell you that one thing I have no problem doing is telling you no. If the client wants to do something that I know for a fact will prove disastrous to their beautiful event, I will absolutely tell them no. I will offer other options and alternatives but I will not allow you to make disastrous decisions. This is a perfect example of a disastrous decision. DON'T BE THIS PERSON! Hire a planner/coordinator who is okay with telling you no when they need to.

This client should have been redirected when they wanted their cake to be set up outside. If there was no inside venue alternative available, this cake should have been delivered just prior to the cake cutting just for the sake of pictures or a fake cake should have been used. Now, as the planner, I would have gathered this melting/falling icing up in a large bowl, whipped it up the best that I could, and attempted to lightly spread it on the sides of the cake to create a naked cake look. That's obviously not what they would have wanted but that's the only option we have left here, and that's IF the layers don't start to slide away. 🤣

Moral of the story? Just don't do this! It's too hot outside for your event so it's DEFINITELY too hot outside for your cake to survive the event. Outside is now officially CLOSED! LOL!!!

I don't think I could be more in love with how beautifully this cake topper transitioned from a cheap, plastic orange topper to this pile of glittery fabulousness!! I love how much it matches the basketball centerpiece toppers. I can't wait to finally see it all come together. I absolutely love creating custom designs for my clients!

Some of the easiest, quick setups can still create the most beautiful memories. Don't get lost in the details just because social media tells you to. Less is STILL more in soooo many cases. Look at the little simple, classic elegance in this set up for a small graduation party. 😍 Simple elegance also will save your pocket a ton of money in the long run and I enjoy the challenge of using the minimal amount of set up items.
