🎭 A new City of Mobile Mardi Gras float could be on the way.

Today’s Mobile City Council agenda includes a proposed agreement with Mirth Artists, LLC to construct a City Mardi Gras float, at a cost not to exceed $55,725.

The item is up for Council action—so we’ll be watching to see the outcome and what this new float could bring to future Carnival seasons in Mobile.

🚨 MARDI GRAS 2027 UPDATE 🚨

The City of Mobile has announced that Regions Arena will not host Mardi Gras events in 2027.

Weather-related construction delays have moved the arena’s anticipated opening to spring 2027. Rather than open in a limited capacity during Carnival season, the City is choosing to complete the arena properly and give Mobile the grand opening it deserves.

Mardi Gras 2027 is still on—the change affects only events planned for Regions Arena.

Disappointing news, but hopefully the wait will be worth it. 💜💚💛
