Yes, but don’t worry, your decorating options are still practically endless! 🎉✨ Here are a few guidelines to keep in mind:

✨No glitter or confetti on the premesis, but sparklers and bird seed are allowed outside.
🕯️ No real-flame candles, but battery-operated candles are welcome.
📌 Nothing may be taped or adhered to the walls or floors. All decorations must be freestanding.

Other than these few guidelines, let your creativity run wild! From stunning centerpieces to statement décor, we love seeing how each event transforms the space. 💍🎓🎉

Our new dance floor features a gorgeous white oak finish and can be configured to fit your event, with sizes ranging from 12’ x 12’ up to 21’ x 21’. 🤍

Your venue walkthrough is the perfect time to get a feel for the space, talk through your vision, and make sure the venue is the right fit for your event! To make the most of your walkthrough, here are 4 things to bring with you: 👇
👥 Your estimated guest count — Having a headcount helps us recommend the best spaces and layout for your event.
📋 A list of needed areas — Think reception space, ceremony area, bridal or groom suite, cocktail hour space, etc.
📌 Your vision board & ideas — Bring your Pinterest boards, inspiration photos, color palettes, or any ideas you have in mind!

Ballroom rentals come with 8 hours of use, so how you use that time is up to you! ⏰✨ We typically recommend planning for 1–2 hours of setup time and at least 1 hour for breakdown to ensure everything runs smoothly and stress-free. If you need additional time, extra hours can always be added on for an additional cost per hour.
We’re happy to help you plan the timeline that works best for your event! 💙

One of our favorite things about calling the University of South Alabama home is everything that comes with it. From the beautiful scenery and convenient parking to our central location, it's a place that's easy for guests to enjoy. And for so many of our couples, families, and organizations, returning to campus brings back memories of their time at South, making every event feel a little more meaningful and a whole lot more nostalgic.
It's more than just a venue... it's a place where new memories are made while old ones are celebrated. ✨
