A couple of weeks ago, at my friend Cheryl’s wedding, I asked my photographer friend to grab a quick photo of me…pink bucket in hand & wearing my Farm Girl Florals & Events shirt because I knew I was standing in a bittersweet moment. 💗🌸

By now, you’ve probably seen that Farm Girl Florals & Events is phasing out floral packages to focus on event design concept, consultation, vision, planning & coordinating. And while that chapter is shifting, my love for flowers is not going anywhere.

I’ve officially opened a wholesale flower business…and while I’m stepping away from taking on new floral contracts under Farm Girl, I am not stepping away from floral design, freelancing, education, or continuing certifications. Flowers will always be part of my life. I’ve just discovered that my biggest passion lives on the business side of this industry: making high-quality, affordable flowers accessible to the people on the front lines while supporting and cheering on your local retail florists and wedding & event florists.

Farm Girl Florals & Events may soon get a new name (dropping “Florals” and becoming Farm Girl Events…still pondering 😉). I do still have several contracts in 2026 and 2027 that I’ll proudly fulfill, but I want my wholesale customers to know this loud and clear:

✨ I want to see every florist and small business owner prosper

Today, on a day when the world celebrates hope, joy and love, our hearts are heavy with the loss of someone truly special.

Sharon, affectionately known by so many of us as “Meme” was more than a treasured teammate and friend; she was a source of kindness, laughter, wisdom and warmth that brightened every room she entered. Her presence wasn’t just part of our daily work life…it was part of our hearts.

Though this Christmas feels different without her smile beside us, we take comfort in knowing that Sharon is celebrating Christmas in Heaven surrounded by peace, light and everlasting love. We know she’s smiling down on us, and that thought brings both tears and gratitude.

Meme taught us what it means to care deeply, to give generously and to love without hesitation. Her legacy lives on in the ways we support one another, remember her laughter and honor her memory every single day.

To all who knew her, may your heart find comfort in shared memories, may her spirit inspire kindness in your actions, and may you feel her love around you this holiday season.
