The Bar.

Let’s talk logistics! In all the weddings I have done, the bar tends to be the bottleneck. Meaning the line is long, and slow moving. This can be rough especially on hot summer days when guests just want something cool and refreshing!

Here are a few tips to make sure your guests get drinks quickly:

1. Have N/A drinks and waters on ice and available AWAY from the bar. This will shorten the line by keeping anyone who’s just wanting a sparkling water, juice, or soda out of the line.

2. Keep the menu simple. Have 2-3 specialty cocktails. I love seeing “His and Hers” favorites, and guests usually do too. Cocktails take the longest with mixing, measuring, and garnishes. 2-4 canned or bottled beers, these are easy fast to serve. One red and one white wine so no flavor descriptions are needed.

3. Hire professionals! Hiring a bar service will make a world of difference for getting through a line! They will know how many bartenders you need to serve based on your guest count, help you make a great menu, know the serving laws in your county, and be professional and confident when serving your guests.

The drinks at this July wedding here in Missoula were so pretty! The bartenders were amazing, the menu was simple, and the line stayed short after the initial rush post ceremony.

I wanted to introduce myself again since I have some updates!

My name is Tracy, and I started Emerald Isle Events almost a year ago! Coordinating weddings is right in the center of passion, skill, and interest for me. Unlike other events, weddings have an interesting and delicate dance of managing people (and their emotions) and managing an event in itself. I have learned and grown so much since starting this business, and am excited to continue offering my services for 2024 and beyond!

I have coordinated ten weddings, and each one has grown me and brought on new challenges and valuable experience and lessons. No wedding will go absolutely perfectly, but with my help we can get pretty darn close.. and with much less stress!

Although I do love weddings, there is nothing in the world I love more than being a Mom 🤍 We are excited to be welcoming another baby girl to our family at the end of March! Because of this, I am only taking on weddings after July to give our family ample time to adjust to the new babe.

Thanks for following along my journey in starting this business! It’s been challenging, but so much fun!

THE CEREMONY-behind the scenes!

Without fail, I get family members and the wedding party asking me the correct order, timing, standing place for the ceremony the day of the wedding even if we did a walk through the day before.

I think too often we forget how emotional of a day a wedding is for everyone involved! You’re giving away your only daughter. Your son found the love of his life. Your brother or sister has found their person. Your granddaughter or niece is all grown up. You’re marrying the love of your life!

On top of all of those emotions you have to remember your walking partner, the pace, and your standing place. Later on you might have a speech and that’s on the back of your mind.

So it’s no surprise that people get nervous last minute and question if they are remembering things correctly.

As your coordinator, I let everyone know I’m their gal! During the rehearsal I tell everyone how things are going to go, and if they have questions they can just ask me! I reassure them I will double check the order of the line up. I will be right there to release them, and remind them to take a deep breathe, relax, and enjoy the moment. It’s an honor to be there to make sure everyone feels comfortable and confident so we can have a seamless and beautiful ceremony 🤍
