Because planning a France elopement involves a little more than finding a gorgeous château on Pinterest and buying plane tickets.

You’ll want to think about WHEN you go, which region actually fits the experience you want, transportation, where you stay, what you want to DO while you’re there—and yes, eventually, the legal stuff.

But here’s our biggest piece of advice: Don’t fly all the way to France just to have a 4-hour wedding.

There’s an important new UK travel update you’ll want to know before booking flights
US travelers flying through the UK (including London layovers) are now required to apply for a UK Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA), even if you’re just passing through the airport on your way to Ireland.

Here’s the quick breakdown:
✔️ Costs about $13 USD
✔️ Valid for 2 years
✔️ Required for all travelers, including children
✔️ Usually processed within 3 working days
✔️ Does NOT require finalized travel plans

The process is honestly super simple and can usually be completed in under 10 minutes through the UK ETA app.
