For a late lunch today we tried out Colada Cuban Cafe in Pembroke Pines, City Center Plaza
We got the Toston Fritas, Croqueta Preparada and a Rice Bowl with Grilled Skirt Steak....🔥🔥🔥🔥
I had the Toston Fritas (frita patty, Swiss cheese, bacon, potato sticks & herb aioli between fried green plantain) washed down with a cold Jai Alai beer

Tonight's wine selection with Easter Dinner
River Road Family Vineyard & Winery, Symphony Cabernet Noir, California 2017
This wine is a lovely marriage of Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir. The clever blend delivered lovely notes of blackberry, plum and vanilla, caresses the palette with smooth tannins and ends with a spicy dry finish.
Went VERY WELL with the Slow Braised Short Ribs in a Paprika Demi Glace served for dinner

This Bodega Finca delivers dark ruby fruits, blackberries, plums with lovely notes of vanilla oakiness and chocolate

Coopers Hawk Below the Belt
A wonderful blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Malbec. Nice notes of ruby fruit and berries, smooth tannins and a lingering spicy flavour
Went well with our Short Rib Ravioli and Burrata Cheese; Blue Cheese & Caramelized Onions Burger and Short Rib & Three Cheese Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Feeling a bit tonight
Eccentric Red Blend, Mendoza Argentina 2019
This wine danced across my palette with lovely silky tannins, lots of dark berries and notes of vanilla.
Smooth and full bodied and finishes with nice spice...almost like cloves 🍷
Feeling eccentric tonight, not quite myself...should I dance in the moon beams, sing in the humid Florida night or just BE
Excellent value for the price, will definitely purchase again

Pays D'OC Reserve St Martin, Pinot Noir, 2019
Let me start by saying that although a fairly young wine it needs to be allowed to breathe for you to get the full romance of flavours
A translucent ruby colour, smooth on the tongue as you roll it on your palette, the acidity at opening soon mellows to soft tannins.
Nice aromas of strawberries and raspberries with richness of oak
A very easy drink that softly caresses like the warm breeze of South France where it comes from and if you close your eyes with the sip you can almost smell the fruits of the Mediterranean coast
