What is the SUSAN B. SMITH GALLERY?
This gallery exists thanks to the generosity of Susan B. Smith, a cherished board member, benefactor & lifelong student in Campanile visual arts program. Her love for art & her vibrant spirit are reflected in each exhibit, honoring her legacy & inspiring creativity throughout our community.

The gallery features our incredible Northwoods artists each quarter of the year. Some exhibits feature a group of artists, such as the Lakeland Area Photographic Club exhibiting this quarter. Some exhibits feature one artist. Thanks to Lisa, our volunteer curator, who organizes each exhibit!

The gallery is open during all of our auditorium concerts & events. Please stop in to check out the beauty & inspiration of our talented Northwoods artists!

With the opening of the new Lakeland Photography exhibit in our Susan B. Smith Gallery, we couldn't help but share a little bit about our volunteer curator, Lisa.

Lisa's life has been filled with a passion for art & creativity. Her corporate career in product development & sales was followed by opening her own small business "The Uncommon Palate" in East Dundee, IL. Eventually she sold the business & moved to the Northwoods in 2018.

With fresh inspiration & the itch for expression, she dabbled in pottery by late 2019 at the Warehouse Community Arts Center & in 2020, was elected to the board & began teaching. From 2022-2024 she managed the Warehouse programing & was gallery curator. She established her own pottery business-Taylor Morgan Pottery. In 2024 she joined the Campanile Center of the Arts to teach pottery & in 2025 volunteered as curator of the Susan B. Smith Gallery in the heart of the Campanile.

Lisa is SOMEONE YOU SHOULD KNOW~
