"We had an amazing experience having our wedding at the Lumber Exchange. My husband and I wanted a Minneapolis venue that was modern but still had some classic beauty. The Fountain Room and River Room is what we ended up renting, and everyone commented on how cool our venue was. The modern brick, huge ceilings, light posts and chandeliers are stunning.

We worked with Sara throughout the planning process – she was incredible and bent over backwards to answer our questions and accommodate our requests. My husband and I are vegan, and we were thrilled that Lumber Exchange catering was able to meet those needs. Our guests loved the food, and 99% of them are not vegan. A big win!

The Lumber Exchange and surrounding area gave us photos even better than we could have dreamed. We are obsessed with the historic but modern look of the exterior, the massive marble staircase, and the towering skyscrapers we captured going on the top floor of the nearby parking garage.

We’d definitely recommend. Many guests told us it was the best wedding they’d ever been to, and we think this venue had a lot to do with that!"

We love sharing the history of our beautiful building and today we want to tell you a bit about the revolving door off of our Hennepin Avenue entrance! ❤️😍

✨ The 1880 brass revolving door once connected The Commodore Hotel to Grand Central Station in New York City! After 100 years there, the door was preserved during the demolition of the hotel and installed in The Lumber Exchange in 1979.

This gorgeous spot also makes for a perfect photo location on your wedding day! 🤩

🌈 We are excited to announce that The Lumber Exchange Event Center is hosting a Pride Ceremony Community Event on January 4th for couples. Whether you're ready to marry or simply need to legalize your union, we have a beautiful and welcoming space for you! 🌈

There are two options available:
•Private Ceremony Space for 30 minutes (Includes an officiant and witnesses if needed or you're welcome to bring your own)
•Marriage License Signing (Officiants will be available to sign for couples who simply want to legalize their marriage)

There will be food and drinks available for purchase along with fun, danceable music to celebrate with your guests!
This is the perfect opportunity to exchange vows in a beautiful venue with your closest friends and family or just the two of you.

If you're interested or have any questions, please DM us your email and we will send additional details and a sign up for you to secure your spot!

We are also looking for vendors/volunteers in the community who are willing to volunteer their time and services.
