As I begin to wrap up my rescheduled-for-Covid weddings I can’t help but think about what a whirlwind the past year+ has been.

Wedding planning is already *a lot* and adding extra precautions and day-to-day regulation changes on top of the mix is exhausting.

So anyway, big shout-out to all the couples who planned a wedding, rescheduled a wedding, and repeated that same process over again. 🤪 You are the epitome of adaptability and I am proud of you! 👏

Let’s Talk Series: Advice from Brides!

I love the perspective of this nugget of wisdom. Sometimes we need to revert back to the “big picture” when we get caught up in the details. Already married folks, would you agree?

Boy oh boy do I miss going to musicals...

BUT, what a joy it was to set up this altar display! I love the creativity of the couples I get to work with.

There are so many ways to jazz up the space where you publicly declare your love to your partner. Lately, I’ve see a lot of geometric structures and decorated wedding arches. Check out my stories for a few examples ✨

Hello and welcome to those who are reading 🤗 My name is Alaina and I have a little LLC called Perfect Harmony Planning. Weddings are my jam! I’m based out of the Twin Cities, currently. It's now 1 month into 2021, and I have to show up to my social communities in a more personal way this year. So here we go-

To start, I thought I’d answer a common question folks have about me: Is this your full time gig?

▫️Answer: I am a part-time wedding planner! Wedding planning is not my full time gig. That is not because I don’t love it, but because I have lots of things I love. I’m going to school to be a school counselor! You might say, I intend to be in school ‘forever’. 🤓📚

▫️Continuing on the school trend, I actually started a graduate program in International Education before switching to School Counseling. I love learning about different cultures and the people that make up our world. It’s fascinating. On another note, I absolutely can’t wait to travel again! 🌎

▫️What does my education have to do with wedding planning? Well for one, I think it highlights my want and desire to grow and learn. That’s what I strive for in wedding planning and what I want to do with my clients! Learn about you and help you the best way I can. My background also helps me weave inclusivity, communication, and counseling skills into my work with clients.

I hope your 2021 is off to as great of a start as it can be in an ongoing pandemic, and I'm looking forward to connecting with more of you this year!

A *fashionably* late thank you to all the 2020 couples who chose to have Perfect Harmony Planning on their team this year. While I grieve all that was lost (in so many ways) in 2020, I also want to acknowledge the wins for those who got engaged, took the leap into wedding planning, had to make tough decisions and change plans 500 times... and ultimately got to marry their favorite person. It was an honor to be on your dream team and make your best day happen. 🤍
