Protesters gathered outside the Whipple Federal Building on Saturday to celebrate Pam Bondi's removal from Attorney General as well as "National F**k Ice Day".

During the protest, a fight broke out involving an individual from Turning Point USA and some of the protesters. Hennepin County Sheriff deputies soon arrived on the scene and things rapidly escalated, with one young woman being put in a chokehold and thrown to the ground by deputies. Several others were also shoved to the ground and pepper sprayed in the commotion, as multiple individuals were arrested.

On Oct 18th I joined the 100,000-150,000 people in downtown Minneapolis alone who took to the streets to fight for democracy, truth, and equal rights, over authoritarianism, corruption, and cruelty.
Despite Trump's administration attempting to ramp up intimidation to scare away protesters, there was an estimated turnout of 7-8 million people today nationwide, in addition to many global protests held in solidarity.

Reports are saying over 80,000 at the Capitol alone. Even with the potential threat protesters knew they might face following recent events. 👏🏼🙌🏼

Last night a man disguised as a police officer targeted two Minnesota democratic lawmakers and their spouses in attempted assassinations, leaving Melissa Hortman and her husband dead, and the Hoffmans hospitalized. The suspect, who left evidence indicating he was also planning to target today's protest and government officials scheduled to be there, remains at large. Regardless, over 80,000 Minnesotans refused to be intimidated away from using their voices, protesting the illegal and unethical actions being taken by the people leading our country. I am incredibly proud of the insane number who still turned out at the Capitol today. There were people far as you could see in every direction, I've never seen anything like it.

An estimated 10,000 Minnesotans took to the streets in Saint Paul yesterday to denounce fascism and call for environmental protections. Despite it being a holiday weekend for many, reports are estimating over 4 million people protested nationwide.

Frogs have been my favorite since I was a little kid. In honor of World Frog Day, I wanted to share a photo of a lily pad frog I had the fortune of encountering last summer! I even got to watch this cutie jump across a couple lily pads, it was a dream come true. 😍🐸
