This year will mark the 18th year of Studio Emme • and I have never offered floral workshops… until now 😉

✨ Introducing FLOWER THERAPY SESSIONS with Studio Emme ✨ a series of seasonal flower workshops for the soul. Each workshop will incorporate foundational floral techniques, but will focus on using flower play for restoration and connection. Let’s get together, unwind and create something beautiful.

Real talk — I think it took me so long to offer floral workshops because it took a while for it to feel intentional. Owning a flower shop is not just playing with flowers • it’s actually quite stressful • it has taken a lot out of me • and it took me a long time to set aside the hustle aspect of the business and choose to thrive in it • physically, mentally and emotionally. I’m there now and am excited to share it with you 🫶🏼

💜 FLOWER CRUSH FRIDAY! • Lavender Sweet Peas 💜 We think it’s about time to bring back Flower Crush Fridays because the blooms are SO good lately and we can’t wait to share them. This week we’ve been crushing on lavender Sweet Peas 😍 Their stems are usually so short they typically land a supporting role in arrangements and bouquets • but our spring designs just wouldn’t be the same without that soft lavender pop.

Some flower therapy to give your mental wellbeing a breath of fresh air… A study in earth tones • dusty rose, spiced brown, warm terracotta and sun-kissed white accented with herby green textures • comfort, tranquility, cozy.

Whenever things start to feel hopeless (again) • being a part of this Minneapolis community reminds me that we are not alone and we all can have a part in making the world a better place • even seemingly small efforts have a big impact.

Once again, we are asking for your help • mutual aid has slowed down, but the need has not. We want to continue to help families as they (hopefully) can start to feel safe enough to leave home again. Your help has been inspiring thus far • THANK YOU to all that have dropped off and sent donations • every little bit helps more than you know 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼

The only thing more powerful than hate is love • Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio (Bad Bunny) 🫶🏼

Valentine’s week is hitting much differently for us this year. It’s been challenging to find the words to express what it feels like right now • not because we don’t have them, but because we have too many.

Flowers have served as universal symbols of love across cultures for centuries • allowing us to express deep emotions without the need for words.

Valentine’s Day is not just for the lovers • it’s for the friends, the family, the neighbors • it’s for LOVE ❤️ Send them a flower hug. Send them flower LOVE ❤️

We will be closed today • Friday, January 23rd • to stand in solidarity with our Minnesota community for a Day of Truth & Freedom — no work • no school • no shopping — marching at 2!

Our community is continually meeting the moment right now and it is important for us to show up in any way we can. We have decided to close, but for some small businesses and restaurants this means staying open today — to continue to support their staff and community and show up in the inspiring ways they do each and every day. If you choose to spend money today • please support local, BIPOC-, ally-, and immigrant-owned businesses and people in our community. We are in this together.

This is an incredibly tough season already • made unbearably tougher by ICE occupying our state and terrorizing our people. Each day is no longer business as usual • but we do not accept this to be our new normal. The fear and chaos unapologetically imposed by the current administration seeks to undermine our humanity • but we do not accept this as our future. ICE needs to leave • not just Minnesota, but everywhere they occupy • and be held fully accountable for their unlawful actions.

Move forward • hold the line • keep going • together ❤️
