Just 1 day to go! 🎉 Tomorrow, the Longfellow Dance Party takes over the neighborhood for a full day of dance, music, art, crafts, and family fun!

There’s something for all ages, including a food truck, make-a-dance-fan craft, coloring, sidewalk chalk & bubbles, a sparkle bar, leapstacle course, kids crafts, dance workshops, live music, and more.

🌦️ RAIN OR SHINE! All activities will move inside to our large dance hall if it’s raining, so the celebration is happening no matter the weather!

The Longfellow Dance Party is almost here, and this celebration is all about community and collaboration.

We’re excited to partner with MacTír Academy of Irish Dance, Zorongo Flamenco Dance Theater, and Lola to bring a full day of dance, music, performances, workshops, and connection to the Longfellow neighborhood.

And there’s even more happening throughout the neighborhood as part of the Longfellow Art Crawl—make a day of it and explore local art, creativity, and community while you’re here!

3 DAYS TO GO until the Longfellow Dance Party!

This Saturday, spend the day dancing, learning, and connecting with your community. Along with performances and live music, we’ll have FREE workshops throughout the day:

• 10:00–10:50 AM — Movement & Connection for Older Adults
• 12:30–1:20 PM — Intro to International Folk Dance
• 1:30–2:30 PM — Intro to English Country Dance
• 2:30–3:20 PM — Intro to Flamenco with Zorongo Flamenco Dance Theatre
• other workshop throughout the day!

No partner or dance experience needed—just come ready to try something new!

We’re sharing a few photos from our final evening featuring Polka, and we’re so grateful to everyone who helped make this series possible.

A huge thank you to our photographer, Pat O’Loughlin, for capturing so many amazing moments throughout the series, and to all of the volunteers, musicians, callers, and dancers who came out to support this project and bring the dance floor to life.

Family Dance is moving to a new Saturday!

Starting this September, Family Dance will take place every 3rd Saturday of the month at Tapestry Folkdance Center.

Our first dance on the new schedule will be:
