Plant Parenthood Edition
A wild and wonderful bunch of botanical badasses just trying to keep their soil together. From Type A to Type IDK, these leafy ladies are nurturing little shoots while surviving spills, sass, and school fundraisers. Whether she’s alphabetizing the garden tools or growing a whole new family tree, there’s a plant mom here for every kind of chaos. Warning: may cause spontaneous growth, emotional support photosynthesis, and judgment-free overwatering.

(Adopted)1. Chandra-This plant color-codes her own leaves, plans her blooms three seasons in advance, and gets mad if you water it off-schedule. She has a Pinterest board for every season and an anxiety attack when a leaf is out of line. Responds best to Google Calendar reminders and thrives under fluorescent lighting and passive aggression.
(Adopted)2. Alex- May have missed the school pickup, but brought popsicles for everyone. Spills trail mix in her purse and calls it lunch. Doesn’t believe in pruning, thinks sunlight is “just a suggestion,” and often forgets to photosynthesize until Wednesday. May be a cactus. May be raising wildflowers. May be at yoga. Who knows?
(Adopted)3. Mary- This plant is holding a baby, wearing a baby, and probably growing a baby. Produces shoots faster than rabbits at a family reunion. Comes with a minivan, homeschool curriculum and snacks tucked in her leaves. Probably powered by cold coffee and sheer will. No one knows how she’s still standing- just holding onto that pole for dear life.
(Adopted)4. Tina- Grows herself, raises seedlings, and repots her own dang self on Sundays. Doesn’t need a gardener—she is the gardener. Strong enough to grow through concrete and teach manners at the same time. Tough, resourceful, and blooms under pressure. She’s not tired—you’re tired.
- (Adopted w/Tina)Baby Maddie- Fresh out the soil and already running the greenhouse. She’s tiny but demanding—sun on her schedule, water just so, and don’t you dare forget to compliment her new leaf. Built for growth, built for glory, and yes… probably tougher than you.
(Adopted)5. Shawn- She might’ve started sprouting a little later than most, but now she’s rocking motherhood like it’s her favorite hobby. Pushing 50 (we would never say that to her face) but hauls that diaper bag around like it’s a bag of premium potting soil, and her secret weapon is a bottle of Tums she pops like plant food. Still stylish, still thriving, but deeply confused by TikTok.

If you didn’t see our Ashley saga on Mineral Wells Discussion yesterday/today… basically we sent flowers to an Ashley, but a different Ashley got them. She posted trying to find the “real” Ashley and a third Ashley claimed them thinking they were hers (spoiler, they weren’t).

We got them all taken care of and got some flowers to all 3 Ashley’s in the end… but we wanted to take it a step further just for the fun of it…

ANYONE with the name Ashley (or any variation of the spelling) can come in tomorrow 9-12 for a free wrapped flower arrangement!

Five Shades of Green Edition
Meet the fiercest, leafiest, sassiest squad in town. Each one brings their own vibe, but together they’re an unstoppable force of photosynthesis and personality. From drama queens to chill queens, this gang thrives on good vibes, filtered light, and just the right amount of neglect. Water them occasionally, adore them constantly, and prepare for the greenest friendship you never knew you needed.

1. Spikarella: The drama queen of desk plants. Sleek, spiky, and serving more attitude than your group chat at 2am, she’s convinced she’s too fabulous for regular soil (honestly, same). Hailing from Madagascar but now holding court in your office corner like she’s plotting world domination—or at least a vacation. Water her occasionally, compliment her often, and whatever you do—don’t suggest she’s “just a plant.” She heard you.

2. Fernidad: She’s leafy, she’s lush, and she’s 100% judging your snake plant from across the room. “Fernie” didn’t come here to play—she came to slay in filtered light and flawless humidity. She requires misting, emotional support, and absolutely zero rough handling (she is not that kind of girl). Miss a watering? She will fake her death. But treat her like the houseplant royalty she is and she’ll reward you with the kind of beauty only a truly thriving diva can deliver.

3. Lizzie: With heart-shaped leaves and way too much sass for her pot, Lizzie is that plant. Constantly reaching for more light, more space, and more attention. She thrives on compliments and demands you get her a cute little flowerpot like it’s a luxury condo. If you don’t, she will definitely file a formal complaint with HR (Houseplants & Roots). Shower her with enough compliments, and maybe—maybe—she’ll let you live in peace. But probably not.

4. Goldie Vines: A golden pothos that shines in low drama. She’s easy, breezy, and knows she’s the reason you refer to yourself as “a plant person” on dating apps. Goldie is thriving despite your very questionable watering schedule, like that effortlessly cool friend who never wilts under pressure. Put her on a shelf, and boom—interior designer who? Goldie’s not just a plant—she’s a lifestyle.

5. Debbie- She’s back, she’s hydrated, and she’s growing like she just signed a Netflix deal. Deb took a brief break to focus on self-care (and maybe a little root therapy), but now she’s unfurling new leaves like she’s launching a skincare line. She demands filtered water, indirect light, and emotional validation. Touch her leaves without asking? Expect crisis. This is a woman… sorry, plant… who knows her worth.
