So proud and humbled that we got the privilege to serve that amazing family! The most genuine family and the most humbling experience... we are so grateful to be apart of Hannah's wedding.🙏
"When Mike Johnson posted about his daughter Hannah's engagement celebration, surrounded by a crowd of friends and family gathered the night after she accepted her fiancé Cody's marriage proposal, he noted two things that together told the whole story, that Hannah and Cody had been close friends since middle school and that the Johnson family had known Cody since he was in the sixth grade. A friendship that began in a Louisiana classroom had grown across more than a decade into something the Speaker of the House described on the night of Hannah's wedding at the Old State Capitol in Baton Rouge in early June 2024 as two people who were equally yoked, and at the end of that evening Hannah hugged her father around the neck and told him through tears that it was the best night of her life, which Johnson said publicly was everything a father wants to hear. Hannah was the eldest of Mike and Kelly Johnson's four biological children, and she had followed her father's path almost exactly, enrolling at Louisiana State University Law School where Mike had earned his own law degree in 1998, the same year he met Kelly at a mutual friend's wedding and proposed to her the following spring. While Hannah was in her second year of law school ahead of the wedding, her sister Abigail was completing her undergraduate degree at Louisiana Tech, her mother's alma mater, before enrolling at LSU Law herself. Their brother Jack had been accepted to the United States Naval Academy with the Class of 2028, and youngest son Will was still in school, which meant the summer of 2024 arrived for the Johnson household carrying more simultaneous milestone events than most families see in a decade. Kelly and Hannah had made a quiet trip to Minden, Louisiana, to pick up the wedding dress at Hers Bridal on Main Street, arriving in white SUVs with a Secret Service detail that the bridal shop owner initially thought was simply a group of people parking in a fire lane, until someone whispered who they were. The shop owner later recalled that Hannah, in the middle of planning a wedding while completing law school, was simply one of the nicest people she had ever welcomed through her door, and that Kelly was a very sweet lady, and that whoever you are, every bride is special, which was perhaps the most precise possible summary of an afternoon when the Speaker of the House's family showed up in a small town and acted as though they were simply a family."
