While a color palette helps create the atmosphere, design that tells a story is about how every element works together. A true test of this is to look at the details in black and white.

In the absence of color, attention naturally shifts to placement, texture and composition. You begin to notice how objects relate to one another, how materials interact and how we use white space with intention.

All of this begins long before the wedding day itself. Every decision is considered within a larger vision, layered carefully to create cohesion rather than excess.

Black and white simply reveals that process more clearly, allowing the behind the scenes planning and refinement to be seen.

The best designs don’t start with color palettes. They start with heart, intention and a partnership with fellow creatives who help bring that vision to life.

Over the past three months, I had the absolute joy of planning and designing the annual St. James Royal Showcase alongside a truly incredible team of like-minded professionals.

We focused on honoring what already makes St. James so beautiful. The architecture, the history, the timeless European feel...and we let that guide our design.

The result was something that felt authentic, elevated and even more beautiful than I imagined.

My heart is so full of gratitude for every vendor who shared their talents and for all the couples who joined us and took the time to experience the space.

It was truly an honor to help bring this vision to life and showcase what’s possible at St. James and beyond.
