FROM THE FARMER 🌿 | Monday, October 12

Our dahlias are still blooming strong, and thankfully, frost hasn’t made its way to the farm just yet! We’re enjoying every last bit of color the fields have to offer while making the most of these final weeks of the growing season.

Behind the scenes, we’re already looking ahead to 2027 and putting together our calendar of events. Our weekends are filling up quickly with wedding florals, and we’re so grateful for every couple choosing us to be part of their celebrations. ❤️

While we won’t be hosting private events at the farm next season, that doesn’t mean we won’t be gathering with you! We’ll still be offering workshops, hands-on learning, and farm experiences throughout the year. We love sharing what we do here, and we’re excited to find new ways to bring our community together.

One important thing to know: 2027 will be our first full season focused on flower production here in Pennsylvania. With more flowers to grow, more rows to manage, and more time dedicated to the fields, our classes, workshops, and other offerings will be limited.

But focusing on flower production doesn’t mean less room to enjoy the farm! 🌿 Our wildflower fields for u-pick and photo sessions have doubled in both seed and growing space, giving us even more to look forward to next season. We can’t wait to see those fields come to life and share them with you!

We’re also putting the finishing touches on plans for The Bloom Society, seasonal workshops, and more farm experiences for the coming year. There’s a lot to look forward to, and we can’t wait to share the details as our 2027 calendar comes together. When it goes live, be sure to take a look and book your spot!

For now, we’re soaking up these final dahlia blooms, preparing for the first frost, and dreaming about everything we’re growing toward in 2027.

We haven't had a severe freeze just yet, so we're making the most of these final beautiful blooms! 🌸

Starting Wednesday and continuing through Saturday this week, we're bringing our **large dahlia bouquets** into the farm shop at our special $25 market bouquet price!

These beauties are grown right here at By The Bloom Farm, and once they're gone, they're gone. Every bouquet is unique, filled with the dahlias our fields are still giving us.

FROM THE FARMER 🌿 | Monday, October 5

It’s finally starting to feel like fall around here! The leaves are changing, pumpkins are popping up everywhere, and that crisp autumn air has arrived. I think we’ve all been waiting for it. 🍂

Out in the fields, we’re moving into the next stage of the season. The fields will be tilled, cover crops will be planted for winter, and we’re continuing to plan and update our specialty cut flower rows for next year.

This season, we planted more than 2,000 peony roots and 5,000 dahlia tubers. That means more rows, more planning, and lots to look forward to!

We’re also excited to share that we’re planning to offer dahlia tubers through The Bloom Society this coming spring. Once the first frost arrives and we can dig, inspect and assess this year’s tuber growth, we’ll share more details.

We know dahlias have become increasingly popular—and that prices can be high. We’re hopeful we can offer our locally grown tubers at reasonable prices, with local pickup available here at the farm. More to come once we know what we have!

And a special congratulations to Aubrey and Heather, who celebrated their weddings with us this week. Thank you both for choosing our flower farm to be part of such an important day. It truly means so much to us to grow and design the flowers that help tell your story. ❤️

As the fields settle in for winter, we’re already looking ahead to another season of growing, gathering and sharing flowers with our community.
