C**t’s Story / Henry Trimble Animal Shelter

C**t is a true fighter. When he first came to the shelter, he was battling parvo—a scary sickness that not every pup survives. But C**t’s spirit was stronger than the illness, and with love and care, he pulled through.

That was over a year ago.
Today marks 390 days that C**t has been waiting for his forever family.

In that time, he’s become the staff favorite. He greets everyone with a happy wag, loves belly rubs, and has the gentlest soul you could ever meet. He hasn’t let the waiting dim his sparkle—C**t still believes that his family is out there.

He’s dreaming of the day he’ll curl up on a soft bed in a real home, with people who will love him as much as he already loves them.

C**t’s story is one of survival, patience, and hope. Could you be the one to give this brave, beautiful boy the ending he’s been waiting for?

*Bark and Whine* hosted by the Henry/Trimble County Animal Shelter is happening Sunday, October 12 from 2-6 pm. Join us for a fun afternoon featuring food trucks, vendors, a silent auction, wine tasting, and adoptable pets!

will be there serving up some of their delicious, signature beverages!

Charlie (pic 2) is one of the sweet dogs available to adopt. Richwood is sponsoring half of his adoption fees and would love for him to find his new family 🫶🏽

Last Friday, my MCHS Student Intern and I took a trip to the Henry Trimble Animal Services Adoptables to gather photos for the upcoming Bark and Whine fundraiser on 10/12/25 here at Richwood. I'm sure you all know that when you walk into where the dogs are kept, they all start barking and get very excited. Well, Charlie was the exception to this rule. Not a bark - just a sweet look of PLEASE TAKE ME HOME ♥️♥️♥️. Charlie has been at the shelter for 6 months now - 180 days. Charlie and 24 other dogs came from a hoarding case where the dogs were being starved and abused terribly. But Charlie is a story of survival and love 💕 and is hoping to find his FUREVER HOME - could it be yours? Richwood is sponsoring half of his adoption fees and would love for you to take a chance on this sweet boy. Call the shelter to set up a day to visit or take Charlie out for a DAY DATE. 502.667.1055
