THANK YOU!!!
It took a villiage to pull this off in a short amount of time, and our community pulled together to make June Fest 2025 a memorable one! So many people helped make the day possible - there were so many that I’m bound to miss a few - if you noticed anyone I missed please message us or comment below! They deserve a shout out!! Here goes, IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER -
To the folks that donated their time to volunteer and step in - Gar Odegard (every odd job that needed to be done!) Mark Gainor (tractor pull) Justin Lee, John Buskohl (barrel rides), Jenny & Scott Humphrey, Paul Nelson (tractor pull) Dawn Turchin, Justin Lee (bounce houses), Tanner Martinson (drone pics and footage), Mindy Hogness (photography), Leo Heath (speakers), Lakeview Golf Course (tournement & evening music entertainment) - you rocked it. No way to do it without your help! THANK YOU!
To the folks that donated prizes/Money to go to toward prizes/sponsored activities- The Schoolhouse, Camryns Clubhouse, Milnor Grain, Swede’s Plumbing, Hump’s Bar & Grille, Valley Plains Equipment, David Bergeman Insurance, Stock Growers Bank, CHS Dakota Plains Ag, Dakota Dirt, First Community Credit Union, Bill Schonoff, Gar & Michelle, Bryce & Mindy - you all made sure that every kid that came to Milnor on Saturday walked home with something they didn’t have when they got there. THANK YOU!
To the people that came together for the food - Nancy Prante at the Keg, Kris & Tracy Lien family for breakfast, the high school kids for lunch and food well into the late afternoon, and Meat-N-Bones for mouthwatering smoked meats and sides! You all kept our bellies full with good food and treats all day long! THANK YOU!
To the kids with pop up vendor stands! What amazing little entrepreneurs you all are! So fun to see! THANK YOU!
To the businesses that opened up and extended their normal hours for the day - THANK YOU!
To all participants in the parade - thank you for taking time on a Saturday in your busy summer to help make a weekend in the summer special for our kids! THANK YOU!
To the pool for welcoming in every kid that came to the door on this warm day! THANK YOU!
To Games to Go and Mo. Co. Face Painting - you helped make the day memorable for so many kids - thank you for coming on short notice and providing great service! THANK YOU!
To the folks on the sort of last minute put together committee ; Michelle, Carolyn, Betsy and Bryce - be proud of what we accomplished in a short time! Seeing the faces of happy kids on the streets of our little town was priceless and exactly our goal. We certainly learned a few things through the process and on Saturday that we can build on, but all in all it was such a great day! THANK YOU!
And Iastly - thank you to the families that stuck around town or came back home to bring your children to June Fest - we know that summers are incredibly busy (and short) these days and there is options galore for places to be. Thank you for adding our event to their “fun memory bank” - if they had a good time in Milnor this weekend, this was all worth it for everyone!
