Plot twist: I didn't start as a flower farmer. I started as a florist, and it took years of hard work (and a lot of learning curves) before I was ever walking my own fields deciding what to cut that day.

For years I only knew flowers from the design table - which stems hold up, which ones give great movement, which "weird" bent stem is secretly more useful than the perfect straight one. Then came the farm, and the dirt did not care about any of that. It humbled me real quick.

Turns out both sides talk to each other now. The florist tells the farmer what's worth growing. The farmer keeps reminding the florist that nature doesn't work off a Pinterest board.

What Flowers Are Appropriate for a Celebration of Life?

There really isn't one correct answer.

Celebration of life and memorial flowers can be designed to reflect the person being remembered rather than following a traditional formula.

Maybe they loved bright garden flowers. Maybe yellow roses were their favorite. Maybe they were happiest outdoors and a natural, garden-inspired arrangement feels more appropriate than something formal.
