Happy Monday Folks!
Guess what’s coming up …….. Maine State Florists and Growers Association @ Fryeburg Fair Oct 2-9 - we have helper / runner spots open with a couple of design days, if anyone is interested in joining us we would love to have you ! We are also reaching out to Florists and Growers on a donation of hanging permanent ( artificial ) Fall / Christmas wreaths / and or baskets - garlands - honestly what one desires as long as it’s permanent/ artificial- last year we did a corner store for those that can’t be there but want to purchase items , it did well, of course your business card is attached and remains on it - anything we had left on Saturday goes into the auction, again please reach out if you can help in that aspect, we would be so appreciative. All monies raised goes towards our education program and we are excited to see these classes starting soon! Again THANK YOU and we appreciate anything anyone can do.

Wow! Valentine's Day was HUGE this year! Here are some fun numbers for you. We brought in 1300 red roses and 1300 of all the assorted colors like hot pink, white, yellow, peach, orange, lavender, 2-tones, rainbow and blue. We sold every single one and could easily have sold more if we could have gotten any. That's a lot of roses!
But that's not all folks... we also had calla lilies, spray roses, alstroemeria, thousands of carnations in all different colors, stock, delphinium, sunflowers, larkspur, stargazer lilies, gerbera daisies, regular daisies, greens and eucalyptus of all description, all the beautiful asters, limoneum, wax flower and of course babysbreath for fillers, along with our new favorites trachellium and rice flower... and though we didn't sell of them (we wanted some left over because Valentine's Day is not the only day we need flowers) we sold A LOT!
We delivered 200 arrangements in 3 days. That's more than in the entire month of January!
On Monday, we had 5 drivers, Nathan, Tammy, Stephen, Benjamin and or newest helper Chayse with our Cheryl keeping them all going in the right directions. We need that help because we delivered to 17 TOWNS!
Manning the phones and the cash registers (we needed 3!) were Mallory, Kara, Emily, and Lauren. They did a great job helping all of our customers. Last but not least, slaving away in the back room were David, Cindy, and me (Ellen). Together we cranked out so many arrangements!
When we left Sunday afternoon, we had all of the orders ready for delivery Monday and 65 plus arrangements to sell. Those 65 were gone by noon. Seems like there are still a lot of last minute shoppers out there (you know who you are!).
Thanks to our great regular crew, plus the fantastic helpers that come in special to help us at holidays (many use their precious vacation time from other jobs to come in and work with us) we had another record breaking holiday. Also, here's a special shout out to Al's Pizza Skowhegan, Maine for taking our lunch order Sunday night and having it all ready for us Monday when we so desperately needed food!

Hi all - our eagerly awaited grand opening date is up on us (finally!!!) After months of hard work, we’re excited to open our doors and let everyone in to see the shop, meet us, and shop our beautiful blooms! 🌹🌹🌹
