Guess what!! Our spring calving season has officially come to an end. Our last momma had a bull calf today.
I'm am so thankful that we had such a wonderful spring calving experience, most of these mommas were first timers and they all have taken the momma role wonderfully!

🤞🤞 that our 1 fall calf is just as healthy as these spring babies ♥️

I'm so sorry for the delay! But we just wanted to say Thank you to everyone that stopped by at Lightfoot Farm on Saturday! It was such an awesome day and I was thrilled to have such a successful first market of the year!
We have SOO MUCH in store for this year and I can't wait for the next market!

MOOONIE UPDATE:
Mooonie is doing great, we haven't posted much about her recently since we stopped bottle feeding her and took her to so one of their nursing cows could be her surrogate mother and accept her.

She still let's us love on her and she is doing great and growing so it's a win-win for us.

This is the difference between pre-chilling and not pre-chilling Tulip Bulbs. When we get our tulips delivered in the fall I immediately place them in our spare fridge (not in the same fridge as fruits and veggies, they produce a gas that would kill the bulbs over time) for at least 8 weeks.
Tulips need a chill period that doesn't typically happen here in zone 7, so we help them by placing them in the fridge.

Our newest bull calf was born last night! I'm such a sucker for a bald face baby (white face). Just a few more babies to go and our Spring Calving Season will come to an end... Just in time for flower season.
