When you think about owning a floral business, most of the occasions that come to mind are celebrations—birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, Valentine’s Day.

But flowers also become part of some of life’s hardest moments.

When good friends asked me to create the florals for Bob’s celebration of life, there was only one answer: yes.

I learned a few things about Bob through the years. He was a man of few words, he LOVED his family first and foremost, he served our country, enjoyed the outdoors - especially doing things like taking his grandson fishing and he drove a red moped that put a smile on your face every time he came down the street.

What I didn’t know was his love for art, creativity and just how talented he was.

Bob was an incredible artist who created as a hobby. His works are so diverse but the through line I saw was nature, coastlines, animals and all things wild and free.

We leaned into a classic Salty Daisy palette with airy blooms, soft blues, fresh greens, and natural movement, hoping the arrangements would feel a little like one of Bob’s paintings had come to life and bring a smile to the faces of friends and family.

Creating flowers for someone’s final farewell is one of the greatest honors and carries a different weight.

Bob leaves behind a beautiful family and so many people who loved him. I hope these flowers honored not only his life, but the beauty he found in the world around him.

Sending so much love to all of you. šŸ¤

we recently spent some time with Mark at Milford City Lifestyle learning about all the amazing ways he supports local Milford businesses

did you know their downtown studio offers beautiful space for photography, content creation, and intimate events?

as a small business owner, there’s something so special about meeting people who genuinely want to see other local businesses grow and we are so grateful for people like Mark who share their energy in helping showcase our little cityšŸ¤

so very grateful for all the new faces here—it feels like it’s finally time to introduce myself

i’m Lauren, the human behind Salty Daisy and Daisy’s mom 🌼🩵

i used to say that if i ever won the lottery, i’d become a florist

because what better way is there to spend your time than creating something beautiful—something that can express love, care, connection, or celebration?

then one day, i realized there was no reason to wait

and what i’ve found since is that creating with intention—and designing flowers that become part of someone’s meaningful moments—feels a little like winning the lottery in itself

p.s. we’re so glad you’re here šŸ¤

for me, floral design is not just about flowers, it is about trying to (re)create a feeling.

the feeling you you get walking home from the beach.
ice cream for dinner.
the first hydrangeas blooming over the fences.
sea grass moving in the wind.
sunsets that somehow never last long enough.
the parts of summer that stay with you long after it’s over.

that’s the feeling I’m always chasing.
