Kīpuka Hawaiian Cultural Center

Kīpuka Hawaiian Cultural Center A Kīpuka is an oasis. An oasis typically found on lava fields, where the kupukupu sprouts and attracts other plants, and then more, and an oasis is born.

The plants support and sustain each other, and create a vibrant haven in harsh surroundings. The sole purpose of our center is to provide a place where our community can come and be refreshed, feel renewed and rejuvenated from the often harsh, unfamiliar conditions that surround us, outside of our native spaces. Where we can support and strengthen and sustain each other and grow a vibrant community.

TOMORROW!!

We’ve all experienced this and it leaves us feeling frustrated, minimized, enraged and more. Sometimes we don’t realize what happened until after the fact and that can make the frustration worse.

Come join us as Aunty Charlene walks us though empowering ways to address the issue. She’ll share her expertise as a Manawahine in our community, as an educator and a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion expert.

Professional settings aren’t the only area in which we can use these tools. We can use them amongst our friends and our ‘ohana when these types of situations arise.

The more tools we can share to equip our people, the better off we all are. You don’t have to heal from what you don’t have to go through.

EVERYONE is welcome. Come kūkākūkā with us, we’d love to see you!

Does any of this feel/sound familiar?

-You grew up outside of (or even within) your native spaces and struggle to feel a connection to your culture?

-You’ve been questioned, or shamed because you don’t speak your language?

-You’re raising keiki in the diaspora (spaces you inhabit outside of your ancestral spaces) and wonder how you’re going to keep them and yourself connected to culture?

-You’re wanting a closer connection to who you are as an indigenous person?

Then this is for you. With all the aloha we can give, this gathering is for you. Come learn a powerful tool to aid in your healing and growth on Saturday April 8th.

To RSVP, please message us ❤️
