Congratulations to LPPACS Theatre studetn Roman Churney, for recieving an honorable mention in City Theatre's Young Playwright's Festival this year! The Young Playwrights Festival celebrates student voices by presenting original one‑act plays written by middle and high school students in the Pittsburgh area. Roman's play, Tuna Casserole, will receive a staged reading by university students during the Young Playwrights Festival at City Theatre on October 17. Well done Roman!

Another wonderful Thespian Awards Dinner in the books! Congratulations to all of our new inductees, our current Thespians who earned more accolades this year, our new Thespian Troupe Officers for next year, and of course of Thespians who are graduating this year! Thank you to all of our families who donated food, especially Rina Heavner who manned the beverage table all evening! Thank you also to all of our troupe officers who helped with the planning, and for all that you have done throughout the year:

We have the most wonderful students in the world! Our senior class surprised their faculty with wonderful cards and gifts on their last day. Thank you all so much!! You make it a pleasure to come to work each day! We will miss you all so much, but the best of luck to all of you!

Such a marvelous Thespian Society trip this weekend! Thanks to my fellow chaperones, Melissa Potts-George and Rosh Raines for all of your help, and tanks to our Troupe Officers, Tristan Heavner, Lily Fontaine, Kate Lynd, and Megan Michel for your help in planning this wonderful excursion! Thank you to all of the staff, Nikki Ruiz in our business office especially, students and parents who helped make it all happen once again for these wonderful students! Staff at the theatres and our hotel commented on how well behaved and courteous our students were!
We we fortunate to see Funny Girl at the Shaw Festival, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Stratford Festival, and both shows were excellent. We then had a quick visit to Niagara Falls on Sunday, and then back PGH. The weather wasn’t the best, but the kids were good sports and persevered! So proud of all of them, and so grateful for the staff and community we have at LPPACS!

Join us as the Senior students from the Theatre Department of LPPACS present their final performance of the year!
