Last evening, the Long Hill Estate Authority celebrated its incredible volunteers during the annual Volunteer Recognition Reception, held at the conclusion of their annual meeting.

This year’s honorees included Middlesex United Way, recognized for their ongoing support of our public events and grounds cleanup efforts; David Strickland, honored for his years of dedication to maintaining our trail system and his service on the Parklands Committee; and Ona McLaughlin, who has served as president of our nonprofit arm, The Friends of Long Hill Estate, for more than a decade. In addition to her leadership, Ona has contributed to numerous committees, including Music at the Mansion, and has been a devoted docent since the Mansion first opened to the public in 2000.

We are deeply grateful to these outstanding volunteers and to all who generously give their time and talents to help preserve, promote, and share the Mansion as a treasured community resource. Thank you for all that you do!

Join us at the mansion tomorrow evening as we host Ballet Under the Stars!✨The performance begins at 7:00pm. We look forward to another amazing performance by Connecticut Ballet!

BALLET UNDER THE STARS opens on Sunday at 7:00pm at Wadsworth Mansion at Long Hill Estate in Middletown, CT. The free performance features a sensual duet, 'Tryst' by Minneapolis-based choreographer James Sewell, a revival of Danish choreographer Auguste Bournonville's famous 1856 trio, 'La Ventana,' Douglas Norwick's 'Garnish,' a tribute to jazz pianist extraordinaire Erroll Garner, and Brett Raphael's contemporary ballet, 'Babble,' to music by Philip Glass.

Bring a picnic and enjoy sensational ballet dancing 'under the stars.' Join us for an informal meet-and-greet following the performance at the open-air stage. The program will last 90 minutes and is totally appropriate for children of all ages!

We're putting the finishing touches on our first Music at the Mansion concert of the summer, and we can't wait to welcome you tomorrow evening! 5:30 grounds open and 6:30 concert begins.

Bring a lawn chair or blanket and relax on the shaded vista while enjoying live music, delicious food, and a beautiful summer evening. Cool off with one of Vecchitto's famous Italian Ice treats, and let Scatz Catering take care of dinner so you don't have to cook.

The Central City Stompers have prepared a special set list celebrating America's 250th anniversary, making this the perfect way to kick off the holiday weekend.

Parking Information:
Parking is available at both the Mansion and Mercy High School. Handicap parking is available at the Mansion. For the easiest access and quickest exit after the concert, we encourage guests to park at Mercy High School. Please note that there is no parking at Snow School this year.

Summer is finally here, and we're excited to kick off our Summer Concert Series on July 1st!

Join us every Wednesday for the next four weeks for an evening of free live music on the beautiful grounds of the Mansion. It's the perfect family-friendly way to spend a summer evening.

The grounds open at 5:30 PM, and concerts begin at 6:30 PM. Pack a picnic or enjoy dinner from one of our featured food trucks.

We can't wait to welcome you back to the Mansion this summer!

The weather has finally warmed enough for plantings and thanks to Kathy Meyering, President of the Middletown Garden Club, our urns are planted and ready for the season!

We look forward to seeing the planters mature and grow in these warmer months, and hope people will come by to enjoy the peace and beauty of the Mansion grounds.

Spring cleaning at the Mansion! Thank you to our volunteers from David Alan Hospitality Group, The Connection, Middlesex United Way and Middletown Garden Club for helping us get our grounds ready for spring.
