Story Time.
Back a few years ago. Like 2 years ago. I was invited as a guest to a paracon. I rented a house for the weekend with some friends.
It was shaping up to be a great time.
That week my young daughter had gotten her tonsils out, and she was doing fine.
So I was ok with going to the paracon, my wife was good with everything.
Anyways, I get a call on the first day of the event and its my wife, my daughter was bleeding from the surgery and had to be taken to the hospital, this was a less than 10% chance event and the Doctor instructed my wife to bring my daughter to the hospital for treatment. They spent the night and went home. The second day, same thing and this time my wife asked me to come back because it was getting scary.
Of course as a dad I was on it. I let the event hosts and owners know I had to go, so I had to pack up my table and drive the 3 hours back home for my daughter.
Well, that was the last time I was invited to said event.
I don't get sad about much but I feel like I bring alot to the paranormal and entertainment tables and it kinda sucks not being asked back.
Of course my family is always going to be first before anything and I dont think that should be penalized.
Although, maybe they have nothing to do with each other and they just don't want to ask me back. Ah well.
Its Friday. Enjoy the day! Enjoy your family.

Even if speaking to a medium was not something youd look to do, or even if you dont believe in that sort of thing, would you let someone give you a message from your passed loved one? The holidays are an especially tough time when the ones we love are not with us, but they really are.
