Scott Brothers Barbecue was just voted Best BBQ on the North Shore in Northshore Magazine's Best of the North Shore Readers' Choice Awards. Which is you. You did that. And we could not be more grateful.

There's a whole party for the winners on Thursday, August 13th, 6:30–10:00pm at 161 Elliott Street, Danvers, MA. Food from every vendor, two drink tickets, entertainment, free parking, the works. Two tickets are ours.

The catch: we'll be at the trailer that night, doing the exact thing that got us the award in the first place. Someone's gotta make the BBQ.

So we're sending one of you and a guest of your choosing to represent us instead. Your only job is to eat well, have a drink on us, and enjoy the night. That's the whole assignment.

We've partnered with the incredibly talented Kara at Stingo's Sweets to bring you a weekly rotating cookie that is anything but an afterthought. Kara is a rockstar baker and pastry chef with a ridiculous amount of experience that goes well beyond cookies - and it shows in every single bite.

Today we celebrate America — the ups, the downs, the wins, the fails. Warts and all.
As Americans we know how lucky we are to live in a country with prosperity that has never before been showered on so many. We also know that with that comes a cost and a responsibility — to protect and take care of those without such great privilege.
Our feelings about America?
