Being the wedding venue manager and being recognized with the 2026 WeddingWire Couples’ Choice Awards® at Buchanan Hall is incredibly meaningful - but what matters most to me are the couples behind it all.

Over the past 5+ years, I’ve had the honor of walking alongside hundreds of brides and helping guide, support, and celebrate them through one of the most meaningful seasons of their lives. The kind words, heartfelt reviews, and shared moments I’ve experienced along the way are truly touching. To every bride who allowed me to be part of her day, thank you. Your stories, your joy, and your trust mean everything to me.

Here’s to continuing to serve with heart, intention, and a table linen that kisses 💋 the floor!

Why on earth would I have my CDL? To help make awesome! And I’m secretly a little bit of a gearhead, and in college, it was a great-paying summer job.

💚🛻 It was a bittersweet week as .leary got ready to leave for his next life adventure in the Carolinas

Thank you, Xander, for all the help, companionship, long hours, and willingness to push through on the most stressful days with a cheerful attitude. From delivery van trips to pouring rain event cleanups, I wouldn’t have wanted to do it all with anyone else.

You made my days and events better, and I am forever grateful to have had this season with you!

It’s been an immense pleasure getting to know John and the Eldon Farms, Woodville VA team! This is a not to miss event!

🌳 Our 2025 Annual Gathering is coming up on Sunday, June 8 and we couldn’t be more excited to be gathering at Eldon Farms, Woodville VA this year. Purchased by the Akre family in 2021 as a conservation investment, this 7,100-acre span of beautiful farm and conservation land, located in Rappahannock County, is near scenic Shenandoah National Park and provides sweeping views of Old Rag mountain. 🤩

After an inspiring morning program + optional community lunch, attendees will have the choice to attend one of four *optional* workshops, one of which is “A Walking Tour of Conservation at Eldon Farms.” Lace up your walking shoes and enjoy a ¾-mile walking tour of the Eldon Farms property, led by Eldon Farms’ Geneticist and Agribusiness Manager John Genho, along with PEC conservation staff members, Community Farm Manager, Teddy Pitsiokos; Conservation Field Representative for the Potomac Watershed, Keely Murphy; and Plantings for the Piedmont Assistant, Ellie Young. John will talk about best practices being implemented at Eldon Farms to conserve the Upper Rappahannock watershed.

John has managed Eldon Farms since 2005, overseeing a staff of 12 running the cattle operation, rentals and hunting, along with the farm’s ecological conservation efforts. During his time at Eldon, he also founded and led Livestock Genetic Services, a company specializing in genetic analysis for beef cattle. In 2017, he sold the business to Neogen and continued to support the transition for several years following the acquisition. John holds an MBA from Duke University, an MS in Quantitative Genetics from Cornell University, and a BS from Brigham Young University. He currently lives in Woodville, Virginia, with his wife and children.

It’s sure to be an educational and insightful workshop, not to mention the beautiful scenery!

🕤 The event runs from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tickets are $40, on sale now at pecva.org/eldonfarms. Workshops are optional and included with registration.
