If I was planning my own wedding again, these are the things I loved and would keep the same.

1. Married my husband. He's the best!! I am grateful that he is my best friend, greatest business supporter, and amazing father to our kids. I don't believe in soul mates, but I believe if you choose the right person for you at the right time in your life, they become your person. You have to continue to choose each other, grow together, grow independently, and never give up.
2. Let my girls pick their dresses in a general color scheme. I loved that each bridesmaid found something they personally loved and felt good in.
3. Customized our wedding ceremony.
4. Chose signature drinks that were our go-tos. Guests loved them! Peach margaritas and mojitos.
5. Had lawn games for cocktail hour. They were a big hit and we still use the same boards whenever we host cookouts.
6. Picked a first dance song that we liked, not because it was popular or common.
7. Hand-picked our menu to foods we actually liked. Yes, we had Brussel sprouts at our wedding reception. And no, I didn't worry if other people liked them.
8. Kept our guest list as small as possible. We were just under 100 guests and I don't regret it one bit!
9. Last, but not least, we drove our own 1969 Chevy C10 truck as the ceremony "getaway vehicle" and my husband decided to put on a show with a gnarly burnout. He could not have been more himself in this moment!

All of this to say—there are so many thoughtful ways to weave your style, personalities, and relationship into the details of your day. I’m an advocate for choosing what truly feels right to you, so your wedding reflects what you love and becomes something you’ll cherish reliving again and again.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Here's 3 Wedding Traditions Considered Lucky 🍀
1. ☔ Rain on Your Wedding Day - They Say a Wet Knot is Harder to Untie
2. Something Old, New, Borrowed, 💙Blue
3. Breaking the Glass ✨

Are you considering incorporating any traditions into your wedding day?
Or, if you're already married, did you include any (or have any happen to you-aka rain!!)

If I was planning my own wedding again, these are the things I would do differently:

1. Take time off leading up to and following my wedding to soak in the newlywed bliss!
2. Not rush through the wedding dress shopping process. I regretted my dress choice and didn't shop again to ease my concern or find a new one.
3. Delegate. Delegate. Delegate. I was the DIY bride making signs and finishing details the hours before the wedding. I do not recommend this, it was stressful.
4. I wish I sat with my grandmothers longer, one has since passed and one lives far away.
5. Hire a second shooter and a videographer. I always look back on our wedding photos and wish there were more stories, voices, moments I could re-live.
6. Pushing for details that mattered to me. My parents and my sister & her husband never had formal weddings, and I originally wanted to give them their "first dance" during our reception. BUT, I was talked out of it by our DJ. In the grand scheme of things, it would have been less than eight minutes for these dances and meant the world to them and me.
7. Stick with my husband all night... I wish we held hands and tackled speaking to everyone together instead of separately.
8. Wear the second outfit for dancing!! I listened to everyone else saying I should keep my wedding dress on...

I'll share next what I LOVED about my wedding day...but this would be my advice to engaged couples after learning from my own wedding:
Trust your gut. Do the dance. Buy the second dress. Take the time with loved ones. Do what YOU want. It is YOUR day.

Things couples regret not doing:

1. Taking ten minutes alone together
2. Not sticking together throughout the day
3. Building a realistic timeline
4. Eating during cocktail hour
5. A longer dance floor
6. Hiring a planner earlier

We can work together to develop a realistic timeline that creates room for time alone together, time with friends, time for eating, time for dancing....all while making your wedding day feel like you. I love guiding couples through the planning process, creating priorities that make sense to them, and then designing their wedding day around these!

I am…
A wife, a mom, and the person who will be fluffing your dress, pinning your boutonnières, checking your timeline, and making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

I’m calm, organized, and deeply invested in the couples I work with.

A team player that’s always a few steps ahead because being proactive is kind of my thing.

I care about the details - but I care even more about the moment you say I do.

Because at the end of the day, the celebration is beautiful…
But the marriage is the whole point.

I genuinely love what I do - helping couples experience a wedding day that feels calm, joyful, and completely their own. 🤍

If we work together, you get all of the above.

Most couples never see 80% of what happens behind the scenes on a wedding day… and honestly, that’s the goal.

What is your wedding planner actually doing while you’re getting married 👀….

• Managing vendor load-in
• Checking floor plan & place settings
• Solving problems before you ever see them
• Running the timeline minute-by-minute
• Cueing music, processional, toasts
• Fluffing your dress & keeping you on track
• Handling vendor questions
• Fixing timeline delays quietly
• Putting out tiny fires all day long

…All so you can be fully present with your person 🤍

Wedding planning can be exciting… and also overwhelming fast.

If you’re finding yourself juggling decisions, saving endless inspiration, and wondering how it all comes together — you’re not alone.

A planner’s job isn’t just to “help.” It’s to guide the process, bring clarity to the design, and manage the behind-the-scenes logistics so you can actually enjoy your engagement and feel present on your wedding day.

Because the goal isn’t to do more — it’s to feel supported. 🤍

So you’re marrying your best friend.
That’s the whole point. 🤍

The flowers, the table settings, the timeline… it all matters, of course.
But none of it matters more than this...

The quiet moment before the ceremony.
The deep breath.
The look that says “we’re really doing this.”

I love working with couples who keep the focus where it belongs — on the commitment, the meaning, and the person standing in front of you.
The rest is just the beautiful backdrop and reflection of you as a couple.

Wedding planner tip: if you want your wedding to feel elevated, focus on design anchors — not more décor. Center your design around what you like, but then find ways to incorporate those elements to sprinkle throughout the day.

The weddings that feel the most beautiful and intentional usually have three things in common:

1. Lighting
Candles, uplighting, bistro lights, or a statement chandelier instantly change the atmosphere and make a space feel warm and inviting.

2. Tablescape consistency
When linens, place settings, glassware, and florals feel cohesive, the entire reception looks polished — even with a simple palette.

3. One statement moment
A ceremony installation, a long-table layout, a floral runner, or a lounge vignette creates impact without needing to overdecorate everything.

A cohesive wedding isn’t about adding more — it’s about choosing the right elements and repeating them with intention. 🤍
