It definitely isn't perfect...but it still was delicious! I struggle to follow recipes to a T, so baking is challenging for me. But, croissants are my favorite pastry and it is something I would love to master! First time was a success. Hopefully, next time will be even better 🙏

Made some granola for the yogurt. Sprouted oganic oats, cashews, almonds, hazelnuts, local pecans & honey, and organic coconut & maple syrup & coconut oil.

Last night's dinner- venison backstrap seasoned, seared & wrapped in parcooked bacon and then baked.

Our friend shot the doe and shared the meat with us.We raised the pigs and North Florida Custom Meats turned it into bacon for us!

Problem is...it was really good...and now I need more deer in my freezer!

Yesterday we catered a lovely wedding at the Thomas Center! These were the appetizers. We had such a wonderful time providing the food for Anna & Payton's special day to celebrate their love!

I made a wedding cake! Peaches, eggs, figs and foliage from our farm, plus local pecans & flowers! It's a vanilla cake with pastry cream, stewed peaches, and fluffy buttercream frosting, plus butter pecan crumbs and mexican wedding cookies! Y'all, it was so good!!!

We are excited to announce that Gene Howard Dissell has arrived! I birthed him in the comfort of our home with the care from my midwife, Dialis, of Nacer Midwifery and support from friends and family. He was born 3 days after due date, just like Isla, and on the same day! And almost the same time and weight.

Isla 5/17 at 7 lbs 14 oz. Born at 6:45 pm ish.

Gene 10/17 at 7 lbs 13.5 oz. Born at 6:11 pm.

We are so in love! Our hearts are full!
