Word to the wise. Learn the business. A lot of promoters are ruining the game for others by settling for prices from artist, (regionally and internationally,) that are insane. No way y’all spending 15k (performance fee) for an artist with 1 hit song right now. Not to mention, 4 flights & hotel rooms, and per diem of 150 a day. We dont have the turnout numbers for these things. Certain islands only so big so it has to make sense. We have to do better. If you want to learn, ask someone that’s seasonal or may have some links. Find out ways to negotiate numbers. This is killing the industry because now they are telling everyone, “yeah, The Bahamas is willing to pay whatever, shoot them this price.”

(Not trying to belittle any artist of course, their price is their price and if they dont budge and it’s profitable for you as a promoter, cool. But business is business and having sense is having sense.)
