TEAM CHEEKI CLAIM THE LA MARTINA SOUTH BEACH WOMEN’S POLO CUP
The ninth annual La Martina Miami Beach Polo World Cup, the world’s largest and most prestigious Beach Polo competition, opened with a day of sweat and tears during the La Martina South Beach Women’s Polo Cup V as eight women’s teams fought hard to claim the prestigious title.
The three-day men’s tournament kicks-off the second day of the La Martina Miami Beach Polo World Cup on Friday, April 26th, with eight teams vying for the coveted trophy, ending on Sunday.

First Fridays Downtown Art Walk
April 5th | 6pm – 10pm
This new cultural initiative shines a light on the growing art market in Downtown Miami, bringing together non-profit arts organizations and local galleries for special exhibitions, artists open studios, tours, exclusive openings, artist performances and an international contemporary art fair, MIA Encore, aboard SeaFair.
The event has been designed to elevate awareness of the abundant art scene Downtown offers, showcasing a diverse community of artists, offering an array of art experiences that reflect multiple medias, styles, and trends in the art world, providing a diverse viewing experience for many tastes. Among the participating organizations include MDC Museum of Art + Design, Dimensions Variable, Artisan Lounge, Etra Fine Art/Wine Bar, Nina Torres Gallery, Eleazar Delgado Studio, Giants in the City, Ocean Back Art Space, Sculpture in the Park at Bayfront, McCormick Place, MIA Encore – Aboard SeaFair and Art in Public Places. All participating organizations are conveniently located within two blocks of the Miami Trolley line and have limited parking available. Exhibition admission and trolley transportation will be complimentary.

Bacardi Miami Sailing Week presented by EFG Bank is a six-day experience that gathers the national and international sailing community together in a fun-filled week of regattas, awards ceremonies, parties and cultural exhibits. The historic Bacardi Cup, in its 85th year, and its Star fleet are part of Bacardi Miami Sailing Week.

Among this year’s honorees were Miami Beach Commissioner Jerry Libbin, award winning singer Luis Fonsi, Alex “A-Rod” and Cynthia Rodriguez, Mercedes Carlson, Kimberly Bacardi, Miami Symphony Orchestra Director Eduardo Marturet, and Raul Alarcon, all of which received awards sponsored by Tiffany & Co. “It gives us great pleasure to partner with the Miami Fashion Week Foundation once again and to have the opportunity to recognize these remarkable honorees for their hard work and dedication to better our community.
