Ok, everyone! So last week I hosted several IG Lives with some of Miami’s top event professionals, but tomorrow, May 8th @ 3pm, I will be talking to Ricky & Rico with . These guys are my automatic go-to’s for everything event design and animation related. The process is simple: I get hired to plan an event and begin to dream up fun ideas. That’s when I call up . I'd like to encourage the event industry, especially my fellow planners, to encourage
clients to postpone their events rather than cancel. Delaying revenue vs losing it
completely can help stop more event industry businesses from shuttering and from
people losing their jobs.
Call your news outlets and make your story known. The more awareness the more
attention and funding! Cruise lines and airlines are not the only hospitality businesses at
risk.
Sign the Change.org petition for Federal Aid for the Event industry.

I love my job. Especially when it means I get to be part of a larger, collaborative effort that educates and helps bring employment to individuals on the autism spectrum. The SAP 2019 Autism at Work Summit, held at the ELS Center of Excellence in Jupiter, Florida, engaged leaders across multiple sectors who are advancing career opportunities for job candidates on the spectrum. Companies like Microsoft, JP Morgan, and Dell gathered on various panels to spur the need for inclusive and diverse workplaces. They explored the different skill levels across autistic employees and held in-depth discussions on the topic of neurodiversity in the workplace.

The A-List Events team was tasked with coordinating on-site logistics for the 3-day event consisting of general sessions, breakout sessions, and multiple catered events. We managed proper flow of events from start to finish, diligently working behind the scenes to ensure a successful outcome.

The countdown is on for the 13th Annual Boys & Girls Club “Wild About Kids Gala” onboard the Norwegian Encore. A-List Events was honored to have coordinated the official press release for this wonderful cause and organization. I just celebrated 15 years since I opened my business— that’s 15 years of A-List Events! I appreciate every single opportunity and I’m as excited about reaching this milestone as I am about planning your next event! 💫🥳🤗😉

To anyone thinking about taking the leap and venturing out on their own, I’m tempted to say- DO IT. Do it and don’t look back. However, knowing it isn’t all that easy, I offer you these tips...
•Be ready and willing to toss your ego out the door if it means getting the job done
•Have a plan in place for when things go south
•If you operate with integrity you should never take the behavior of difficult clients personally. Same applies for losing a bid/sale/or other.
•Understand that working for yourself can be lonely and far from what it seams to many on the outside
•Know that potential clients will believe consistency over a friendly face
•If family and friends are reluctant to support you- it’s ok. Remember the vision lies within you. Have no expectations.
•Don’t put all of your resources into any one thing and be open to evolving with the times
•Engage with people in your industry. Comradery within your community is way cooler than competition.
