You did it! 9 years ago, you started your amazing journey in a place that fully accepted you for who you were. I knew this was where you needed to be, even with its intense rigor. I knew that's exactly what you needed to continue to thrive. I knew you would be loved & supported throughout your journey. I knew you would be taught by caring & dedicated teachers who would take the time to guide you along the way. You started as my literally "Little Man" because you were tiny. But you were always so happy and your big smile melted everyone. Your sweetness drew everyone in. Your curiosity & way of seeing things encouraged everyone to always challenge you. You started out kindergarten with one of your favorite ABA's and thanks to her hard work and the full openness of your whole SoMi family learning how best to approach & handle different things to ensure your success, you "graduated" from ABA therapy & needing a "shadow" by Christmas! That was monumental on so many levels. I am still beyond appreciative & forever grateful to & the SoMi Village for being open to something uncommon & new; and to seeing beyond an IEP & labels that you had great potential but needed a little "extra" to show it. I could never thank you & the SoMi village enough. There were some bumps at first but they were easily smoothed out. Fast Forward and you've excelled on so many levels and on your own. By your own hard work and determination & with an excellent group of teachers at each step of the way. You've also made some incredible friendships since day 1 that will continue to grow as you all go on to start your new journeys. This chapter is sadly ending, but what an epic novel it has been. I am so proud of you and can't wait to see how this new chapter unfolds. I know it will be amazing and I can't wait to add your newfound artistry to the new pages. I LOVE you Christopher & congrats my little SoMi Shark!

Saturday night was truly epic! The SoMi Class of 2025 had an amazing night at their incredible prom. Glad to have been a part of creating such a memorable night and to see my Little Man have a blast with his friends for their "Last Dance"!

Today my not so "Little" Man is 14! My last baby is growing up too fast and leaving all remnants of a "baby" behind. Just as amazing to watch my older two "grow up", it is to watch you do the same. The chubby cheeked happy baby has now crept up to begin to tower over me with a crazy deep voice & next year will probably be shaving his beard! Underneath all that is still a cute baby face. 14 years and so many changes, all for the better since day 1. You kept me on my toes for a few years but now we walk in stride. I'm so proud of who you are slowly growing up to be. Your kindness & patience with others is beautiful to watch. The sweet soul you are shines through. Your silliness & humor is fun to watch. Your newly discovered & impressively developing artistic skills are a joy to watch unfold. You make my heart swell with pride in all you do! I can't wait to see all the great things you will do this year and cheer you on from the 1st row! Happy 14th Birthday Christopher, you've completed my heart & I LOVE you beyond infinity. ❤️🎂

Yesterday was an exciting day! We moved her in and said our goodbyes (for now). She wants to finish her wall decor on her own. Hopefully, she sends me pics! Today, she woke up in her dorm for the first time. Her new adventure begins & I'm so excited for the experience, new memories, and friendships she'll make along the way! I wish her all the best and can't wait to hear all about it! This mama's heart is full and as excited as I (still) am, sadness will set in once we get home without her. Wishing her an amazing year!

Last 1st Day of School ! Excited for the awesome year my "little man" will have in 8th grade, but sad to slowly be leaving behind such an amazing school! Let's make more memories! Happy 1st Day of 8th grade!!

Proud Mama! Today this spunky pretty one not only graduated AAA high school but FIU also officially confirmed her 60 credits (AA equivalent). So proud of all her accomplishments, how hard she pushes herself to be better & do more. She sets the bar high for herself but I think secretly she loves the challenge. Seeing her light up when she succeeds and masters something is awe inspiring. There's been lots of blood, sweat & tears (for both of us) but lots of laughs, friendships & memories made. So here we are! She did it and kicked ass along the way! Thank you to everyone that was a part of her journey to get here. For supporting her, challenging her, believing in her & loving her along the way. It truly takes a village but I will always be her strongest supported, loudest cheerleader & fiercest advocate. I am proud beyond words and am so excited for the new journey and challenges awaiting her this fall at WIlliam & Mary. I am excited to see what the future holds for her and can't wait to watch her succeed & supercede all her goals & expectations! Congrats Emily, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH & AM SO PROUD OF YOU! Fly my baby bird, you're more than ready! .aaa
