EP. 03 THE BUILD THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING.
Almost one year later… and this build still makes a statement.
Sometimes all it takes is one client saying, “Do you.”
Sabine S. Dulcio Designs | Corporate Planning | Floral Design wanted something different from the traditional step-and-repeat, and I had an idea I had been dying to create: source vintage chairs, reupholster them, and incorporate them directly into the build.
Her response? “Do you. Just make it a statement.”
And we did.
Would the chairs actually hold a person? We found that out the day of the event. 😂 A little risky? Maybe. But that’s us—we push the idea, figure it out, and pivot when we need to.
This was also the first time an event planner referred to us as “my fabricators.”
Two simple words, but something shifted.
We weren’t just creating event decor anymore. We were becoming the team trusted to take an idea and figure out how to make the impossible possible.
We had spent so much time pushing the boundaries of what could be done with foamboard a material most people overlooked. But this build proved what we’ve believed from day one:
It’s never just about the material. It’s about the creative mind behind it.
And that’s what our relationship with Sabine became. She can send us a picture, a crazy reference, a tiny detail, or a massive vision and trust us to take it from there.
Trust + creativity + ex*****on. That’s where the magic happens.
We aren’t here to make what everyone else is making.
We’re here to create what people haven’t seen yet.
Some builds become projects. Others become milestones.
