As a result of the growing demand for Japanese artists in the US and vice versa, COLLISION established the mission to showcase and bridge the US and Japan’s underground music scenes by curating a lineup of artists from both cultures. Collision is a cross-cultural event that aims to expose Japan’s underground music and culture to cities across the globe by curating lineups of Japanese artists and l
ocal artists. We have chosen Brooklyn as our next destination with the intention to create a unique cultural experience for partygoers so, we return home with a deeper understanding of Japanese culture. It is this cultural intention that sets Collision apart from the plethora of parties all over the world. Our Brooklyn party is sponsored by the US-Japan Council, a non-profit organization that aims to promote business and cultural affairs between the US and Japan. 100% of our proceeds will go to the Tomodachi Initiative, which was born out of support for Japan’s recovery from the Great East Earthquake that invests in the next generation of Japanese and American leaders through educational and cultural exchanges as well as leadership programs. We believe that through multiculturalism and people-to-people connections, we are able to build awareness and spread positivity. In light of the recent events in Charlottesville, we need to stand together in harmony and peace to express the love that we are all capable of.
