Next to bloom: Liatris Spicata. Liatris blooms from the top down instead of the bottom up. It actually helps extend the bloom time because the lower buds keep opening while the top is already showing color. Pollinators LOVE it for that reason.

Also, native liatris is a butterfly magnet. Monarchs, native bees, skippers… they all pile onto it. In old prairie systems, liatris was part of the “gas station network” keeping pollinators moving across huge stretches of land. 🦋 Locally grown to serve our community. People and pollinators. 🩷
