I love how wonderful the photography world is and I’ll tell you why 🥹 Robby reached out to me a few months ago with a plan to propose to his girlfriend. While he was telling me about the details he said “you were the photographer for her twins wedding”! I knew exactly who he was talking about at that point. It made the inquiry and proposal so much more special for me because it was a full circle kind of moment!

Then when he told me where he was going to propose and I toured the space for the first time, I knew it was going to be one for the books. And it truly was!

A hidden oasis tucked amongst the city because he knew his soon to be wife dreamed of a nature filled and floral proposal.

Truly such a magical moment to be a part of and I could be happier for these two!! ✨

I was inspired by a fellow creative and decided to create my own post about my cute cameras that are near and dear to my business and my heart ✨

Two years ago I made the switch to mirrorless and picked up the r6mii. I have been a canon girly since my college days and won’t be switching anytime soon!

This year I added the canon eos1v to my bag and fell in love! The automatic focus was a game changer while still allowing me to slow down and be intentional in my film career. I love to bring it out on wedding days because I can move a bit faster with the automatic features to capture those quick “gone before you know it” moments on film.

My canon ae-1 🥹 the camera that was passed down to me from my dad and my first experience with the world of film. A piece of my heart lives with this camera and makes me fall in love with film every time I use it. Most of the time I am capturing detail moments during weddings because I can slow down very intentionally since it is entirely manual. There’s nothing that beats it.

And my lil Nikkormat that I bought in Greece last year! She’s a cutie that comes out every once in a while during creative shoots when I want to test out a new location, a new film stock or when I travel. All manual as well, the quickness of the film advancement almost makes it feel digital so I can snap a photo quickly as long as it’s in focus!

For someone who is primarily a digital photographer, you’ll notice the “hobby” film photographers influence in my camera bag! 😆

Each one serves its purpose and I use them all intentionally to capture your memories 🤍

Let’s talk about it.

People don’t know what they don’t know and I live in this industry 24/7/365, so I wanted to take a moment to share some details about your local wedding vendors.

Hopefully this post can bring a little light on the subject because at the end of the day, we all want your memories captured in their most authentic ways so that you can look back on them for years to come with warm hearts.

Also, I am still a human like y’all, and my photographer soul is feeling a little heavy these days in this shifting wedding industry.
