My love for weddings is born from and sustained by all that inspires me – my passion for a great story, my desire to create beauty, and the joy of two families coming together. I’ve been drawn to dream worlds since I was a young teen. At 13 years old I began to live on my own and pay for my education and rent in Cueca, Ecuador, a city that I never visited before. The unparalleled support that I re
ceived from my family every time that I visited them inspired me to dream big. In 2010 I earned a Master’s Degree in International Politics from The City University of New York in New York City as the first step toward my aspiration to go to law school. None of this would have been possible without the support of my family. In 2011, I pushed aside my law school aspirations once I fell in love with the first wedding that I photographed. Since then, through the many weddings I have photographed, I have met many extraordinary people who have taken me to different places and exposed me to unfamiliar religions. All of those weddings have helped shape the person and the wedding photographer that I am today. My style is simple but my hope is that the images I create will speak volumes – about who my clients are as people, about relationships between newly married couples and about the subtle nuances of everyday life. My goal is to provide you with a documentary-based illustration of your wedding day with guiding or posing when necessary. It’s not my intention to just “make pretty pictures” but to truly make images that capture the relationship between two people in love. I am grateful for all the great experiences that I’ve had as a wedding photographer, which inspired me to give back to my own community. For me this has meant teaching free photography classes for the last three years at the Queens Museum, the Immigrant Movement International and the Ecuadorian Civic Committee. As I reflect on my life, I’d like to be remembered as someone whose creative vision brought joy to others. And that I live my life with grace. And I’m most grateful to the people who chose meto share in their joy as I provided a contribution that is real and lasting.
