Here we are, six years since my family purchased the Tolleth Home back in 2019. Every year, this anniversary takes me back to the moment we signed the papers. Hopeful, excited, and a little unsure of what the future would hold.
What I did know was that my parents believed in the vision of what this historic home could become. Their support gave me the foundation to begin building something meaningful here in downtown Meridian.
These six years have been full. Full of growth, challenges, unexpected turns, and incredible momentum. Transforming a 1907 Queen Anne Victorian into a welcoming event space has stretched me in ways I never could have imagined, and it has also shown me the power of community, collaboration, and staying true to the work.
One thing I’ve learned is the importance of trusting my instincts as a business owner. Surrounding myself with people who pour into the space, contribute positively, and support the mission of creating a venue that feels warm, intentional, and memorable. Letting go of what no longer aligns has made room for so much more good to come in.
As we look toward 2026, my hope is simple:
A year filled with ease, joy, celebration, and continued progress for this beautiful property. A year that reflects the heart behind Hidden Gem Events. Connection, hospitality, and moments that feel like home.
Even with the challenges that come with preserving and running a historic property, I’m beginning to see the steady progress of this business. Slowly but surely, the vision is coming to life.
Thanks to the support of my mom, our vendors, and the incredible community who continues to show up for this space.
To everyone who has booked an event, toured the home, attended a gathering, or simply offered support along the way. Thank you. Your kindness, encouragement, and grace have helped shape Hidden Gem Events into what it is today.
My hope is that the love, work, and care poured into this venue will continue to grow and serve our community for years to come.
Thank you for being part of this story.
It means more than you know 🤍
Always, Elizabeth
