Mother’s Day. A week spent helping people say the things that matter most through flowers.

Because behind every arrangement is a story someone is trying to tell. Gratitude. Grief. Celebration. Forgiveness. If there’s anything this work has taught me, it’s that it’s deeply human.

And every year, I somehow love this business even more. That’s why I continue to dream bigger for it. Why I care so deeply about every detail and every person who walks through our doors.

This business was never built just on flowers. It was built on risk. On late nights. On grit.

I still think about sitting in the hospital room after delivering my daughter, nursing her with one hand while signing the paperwork to sell my diner with the other. One hand holding my baby. One hand holding our future.

From the very beginning, life asked me to hold both.

To nurture.
To build.
To dream bigger.
To stretch.

And now, somewhere between weddings, funerals, holidays, sticky counters, snack time , and four years passing far too quickly, I’ve realized something:

Merkels was never about selling flowers. It was meant to create a feeling. To make ordinary days feel sacred. To remind people to celebrate while they still can.

This brand is a mother chasing a dream for the future while still making it home for bedtime. We hold both here ❤️
