I learned that 19.4 people get diagnosed with depression each year in America. My view point is depression isn’t normalized. You go to a doctor to be “diagnosed” with a “disease/dorsorder”. When I was diagnosed it felt as if I was singled out or weird . Depression is normal and an emotion. Medications may help some but mental strength and knowing it’s normal is what made me work through it with out medications. The ups and downs and trying different ones just to have new side effects and stomach aches wasn’t worth it. Spent many years learning and understanding this. The relief and excitement I feel knowing an emotion has very little power over me is huge. IF YOUR DEPRESSED it’s Ok to reach out, it’s ok to seek medical assistance. It’s ok to find a hobby and emerge yourself in it. This is normal you WILL BE OKAY. If your at that edge and just throw in the towel just know your not alone and things do get better. Beat this emotion with happiness. Search far and wide. Make it a job. Find what brings you joy. There is always help. Pull yourselves up and FIGHT. We are here FOR you. We are here WITH you. We are going through it together. You got this, we got this. The world wants you and the world needs you. Again if you need assistance getting through something reach out to whoever your comfortable with may it be a doctor, friend, or a stranger. Even shoot us a message. Someone is and will always be there for you . ❤️
