I have had this little sketchbook for a long time, but I’m just now really starting to use it. It has color swatches and lots of thumbnail sketches for future artwork.
Keeping the integrity of my artwork has provoked me to make some changes in my business.
I am not anti-technology, and this is not a post for pro or anti-tech, but it’s about what I refuse to use as an artist to create. I’m seeing more and more use of AI in art, whether it’s to come up with an artwork idea or to make a quick buck by selling AI produced art.
God gave me a gift and a brain, and that’s what I plan on using. There is so much inspiration all around us! For decades I was totally blocked from any visions of what to create, but as my walk with God and my Savior Jesus has grown, the visions have come back. I’m learning new art techniques so I can not only create my own artwork once again, but I can teach others to create things they never thought possible.
Oh, and this also is not a post to debate about the existence of our Creator, His Son, and the Holy Spirit. I know how lost I was in anger and depression, and I’m no longer that way since I started on His path for my life. Is everything perfect in my life? Far from it, but I have Him with me each and everyday through every circumstance - good and bad.
If one feels the need to unfollow me for anything I have said, that’s ok, but know that you are loved by Him and by me.
