Tuesday was an amazing Volunteer Day! People chose to share their time with us when they could’ve easily gone for a hike, a cafe for coffee or just stayed in bed and read a book. But no, these wonderful people choose to spend their morning with us, picking vegetables, cleaning vegetables for the market and weeding my flower field. We and are so fortunate to have this community supporting us in so many ways.

Yesterday I spent the day at the Tea Festival hosted by . It was truly one of the most magical and relaxing days I’ve had in a long time.

We spent the day tea sipping tea, learning about tea, attending lectures about our favorite subject, regenerative farming, a great farm tour and walking thru lavender fields.

The lavender fields are not in bloom but are still so beautiful. The fields are a soothing sea of silvery grey-green, and the plants are covered with new growth. I just can’t imagine how beautiful it will be in June covered in lavender.

After you enjoy your organic tea, don’t throw those tea leaves out, eat them. Throw them in on a smoothie, or add to pesto, they still contain an abundance of nutrients.
