Amazing job, Medford. Give yourselves a big hand.

You turned out in droves, you put on incredible performances, you turned your homes into welcoming, festive venues for one and all to drop by and have a great time. You took an idea, a framework, and turned it into Medford’s biggest one-day, citywide music festival yet.

We couldn’t be prouder of how things turned out. In our fourth year, we made some big steps. We launched a brand new website with all new functions to find and promote acts and hosts. We distributed signs to every host that showed just how many of you were making Porchfest yours. We held the first-ever Medford Porchfest afterparty where folks from all over the city gathered to celebrate this incredible day.

We had nearly 230 individual acts perform at nearly 130 locations. You made it the biggest and best Medford Porchfest yet.

Thank you to every one of the thousands of people who hosted, performed, attended, and volunteered. You helped Medford have fun together, and that’s really, really important.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. We’ll see you in 2027.

IT’S PORCHFEST DAY!!! we are so excited and can’t wait to see the party you all throw for all of Medford!

A few quick reminders:

• Bluebikes has graciously donated rides again! Use code PORCHFEST26 to get a $40 credit toward rides today only.

• It’s gonna be hot! Be safe—take it easy, drink lots of water.

• Be courteous, be welcoming, be a good neighbor. Work with your neighbors who are hosting nearby you, and those that are not. This is a great chance to get to know the people on your block! Keep sidewalks and roads clear for people passing by. Be mindful of volume.

• Come to our afterparty in Medford Square at 5pm, hosted by Brews Bites & Beats and our own 2ToneTim at the Clippership Pop-Up Park on Clippership Drive.

• Take lots of pics and videos and tag us! and/or

We’re proud to be mentioned in this piece in today’s Globe about the community magic that makes Massachusetts the epicenter—though not the origin—of porchfests!

From Dorchester to Wellfleet and Shelburne Falls, communities across the state have embraced the idea of spending an afternoon gathering outside your neighbors’ houses to listen to live music.

Here’s a first: Laura Lee will be performing on 2026 at WMFO LIVE Day 2026 on 91.5 WMFO right here in Medford at 9 AM this Saturday, then kicking off Medford Porchfest at 7 Bussell Road (a host every year so far) at noon.

TONIGHT at 7pm! Pete and Josh from the Medford Porchfest Committee and Courtney from Bad Idea USA as well as Shaun and Dwight from Tequila Sirens (both performing at Medford Porchfest) will be on Skybar Lusardi’s show on 91.5 WMFO talking about this year’s Porchfest!

The fun starts at 7, so tune in at 91.5 FM in the greater Tufts area, or online worldwide at wmfo.org!
