The 2026 XDA Champions are Crowned π
The weather may have cut the 34th Annual DME Racing Fall Nationals short, but it couldnβt take away the drama of the 2026 XDA championship chase.
A norβeaster forced XDA to end the season finale at Maryland International Raceway after two rounds of qualifying, leaving the final points to decide championships across 14 classes. And some of those battles could not have been any closer.
Jason Dunigan capped off a dominant season with the Orient Express Pro Street Championship, Jamie Lopes completed an undefeated run to the DME Racing Real Street title, and John Collins captured MaxxECU Pro Xtreme by just TWO points. Tim Cottrell successfully defended his Super Stock crown, while Ronald Procopio made history with his seventh consecutive 4.60 Index championship.
The Sportsman battles were even tighter. Dustin Lee edged Jimmie Miller III by just ONE-TENTH OF A POINT for the 5.60 Index championship before also claiming the Top Sportsman title. Taylor Dunham won Pro ET by the exact same razor-thin margin, while Shayne Proctor successfully defended his Street ET championship.
And in the Bulls? Gavin McMichael walked away with TWO championships, taking DMV Bulls aboard Stock Market and All Motor Bulls aboard Zips.
Weather tested the XDA racers, teams and crews all season long, but they kept showing up, kept fighting and kept racing whenever Mother Nature gave them the chance.
